Hey everyone! Don't throw out those last bits of unused resin! You can use it to make your own pigment paste in custom colors and shades. Welcome to my channel where I share my crafting with you. I am aware of the dangers of working with Resin. Please be sure to wear all PPA equipment and follow the manufactures directions on use when working with Resin. Work area should be well ventilated.

Thank you so much for sharing this. What a fantastic way to use up that little bit of resin you have left. I'm not brave enough to mix different brands. What a money saver too😊

I don't recommend mixing different brands as they may not be exactly the same and it can effect curing. I'm glad you find this useful 🙂I've seen a few creators do this and wanted to pass it along. I hate wasting anything.

Thanks for watching! If you add more mica powder then I did it may be thicker as well as more opaque which I will be trying soon. It just depends on the results you want. Experiment with it and find what works for you.

You can use Part A or Part B. It doesn't cure (harden) unless they are mixed together.

I have had mine for a few months now and they are fine. I haven't had any issues with them going or effecting my curing times. If at some point I do I will post about it but, to date I have not seen any others say theirs have gone bad either.

Not at all. You use such a small amount to color the resin that it really doesn't effect the curing process.

You can use eye Eyeshadows that laying around .

You can set the bottle onto a cup to drain out all the resin and its easier to get from the cup.💡

Can a pigment paste be made from resin and nail polish?

I haven't seen it done or tried it. I've only seen it done with dry powders but, you could always give it a try. Just be sure to wear PPA as I'm not sure what the chemical reaction would be.

Can you use this paste in uv resin ?

Part A resin needs Part B in order to have the chemical reaction required to make it harden. So I wouldn't do it. ** I could be (and probably am) wrong.

I haven't tried it to be honest. I don't think it would cure as resin needs both parts to cure and using this in UV resin is likely to cause a "wet" spot and/or prevent curing.

True and it would most likely prevent curing for that reason. I haven't tried it myself in UV resin for that reason.

You can use either one just don't mix A & B

@@takearight. Sure thing. You can use either part A or Part B for this but do not mix A & B together (say to make a larger batch if you only have a little of each) as that would then cure.
