Great video going to make Thanks for sharing but just would like to know why to put polysorbate in
@bramble-berry
@bramble-berry 2 месяца назад
Polysorbate helps emulsify the oils in the scrub bars with water, so you aren't left feeling oily once you wash off the salts from your skin.

I love those. Can you replace the avocado butter with a mango?
@bramble-berry
@bramble-berry 11 месяцев назад
You could, but the mango butter is much harder which will influence the final texture of the bars.

I really wanna make these but without the polysorbate, I was wondering if I could you castor oil as an alternative?
@bramble-berry
@bramble-berry Год назад
We haven't tried it with Castor Oil instead, but we would suggest adding another emulsifier in the absence of Polysorbate 80 so the bars keep their form.

Hi! Can I replace polysorbate 80 with some oil?
@bramble-berry
@bramble-berry Год назад
The polysorbate 80 serves a different purpose than the other oils. It helps to emulsify the oils in your water. You can omit it from the recipe if you'd like, the bars will just have an oilier feeling on the skin.

What is "Pink Himalayan Sea Salt"?
@bramble-berry
@bramble-berry Год назад
It is a salt mined from the Punjab region of Pakistan. The salt often has a pinkish tint due to trace minerals found in the salt crystals.

Yikes to the polysorbate 80! Toxic to the gut. Can a salt scrub product be made without it?
@bramble-berry
@bramble-berry 2 месяца назад
We use the Polysorbate to keep the oils from separating in the bars but you're welcome to try the recipe without it.
@apoorva_joshi
@apoorva_joshi Год назад
There is no real benefit of scrubbing skin with Himalayan Pink Salt versus normal Sea salt. If you are going to wash it off in shower, please give a thought to the illegal mines and poor people working in them...mostly in Pakistan. I love Brambleberry but this just seemed wasteful and I couldnt resist from commenting.

I hate to say it, but probably 95% of the clothes yoy buy, are from "swearshops" so to speak, also your shoes. My dad was a contractor to build Guccie, Luise, Versace, and a few more HIGH end retailers. He would get sold "merchandise " at "cost" which means he paid what it cost to purchase. WE got over 2000.00 worth in coach purses one Christmas, LATER on in life he let me in on it. He didn't pay more then 200.00. They arnt made in the US. And ALMOST ALL are outsourced to country's with cheap labor. Mt point in it all is this, IF you care THAT much, you should think about boycotting pretty much everything. 😢 it's a sad state of humanity, but none the less true. Maybe you have a spark for Humanitarism! Maybe you can bring light and make a difference ! Don't just stop yourself looking into the country this Salt is exploited from.!!! Go deeper. Do more the. Comment.

You lost me as a customer when you said, "plysorbate 80". Have you not read from the NIH what that is and it's potential harmful side effects, not to mention what they say about what it does to the environment. In this day and age, you should really start transitioning your products to 💯 organic or, at the very least, all natural. When you know better, you should do better!
@EmeraldsHoneyComb
@EmeraldsHoneyComb Год назад
I get you but when you use lye in products they cannot be 100% natural or organic due to the lye. I personally don’t use titanium dioxide or crazy things in my soaps and other products though. It defeats the purpose of trying to make products better for your skin and health.
@ordainedreverendhighpriestess
@@EmeraldsHoneyComb you can get natural lye made out of ash.

Well you better stop buying cottage cheese and ice cream because it contains P-80! It’s also in medicine!
@rainesonne1320
@rainesonne1320 Год назад
Polysorbate 80 is an additive used in processed food products for its emulsifying properties (ability to prevent fats from separating out). Commercially produced frozen desserts, shortenings, baking mixes and icings, and canned vegetables are some of the foods that may contain polysorbate 80. Polysorbate 80 helps solubilize ingredients and is considered safe by the FDA for use in certain vitamin and vitamin-mineral preparations which can contain up to 475 milligrams per daily serving of polysorbate 80 (FDA Food Additive Status List). It is also used in food products such as frozen gelatin desserts.
@ordainedreverendhighpriestess
@rainesonne1320 I don't consume additives or processed foods. Again, look at the NIH, the National Institute for Health, by our own government! Look into its health deterioration side effects. If you want to consume those things, that's fine - to each their own - but I do not! Just because something is on a shelf doesn't mean that it is healthy for you. How many additive recalls have we had since the 1950s alone? Additives that have been liked to cancers, increased risks of type 2 diabetes, destroyed gut bacterial- which in turn affect brain chemistry , liver, and kidney damage, and the list goes on.
