Hello, I wanted to ask, which compound do you use for the liquid around the capacitor? I'm not very good at english, but I'm really interested in this, since I need to make a project for my university, and this is the best video I found. Also which paper do you use to fold the aluminum?
Bro as it’s not a battery or Supercapacitor the measurement with multimeter wouldn’t be so correct 👍 as you know electrolytic capacitors discharge instantly
You have to wait for a few days for the electrolyte to penetrate fully, and also there will be a 'reforming' period after that. The capacity will eventually stabilize after charging and discharging it enough.
@@joyofelectronics9782 thanks how do I apply for a higher current and voltage? Can i double the light foil if I can't get the thicker type? U did not say the amp of thee

@@joyofelectronics9782 If that's the case then can I use the same process but at 100 to 1000x larger scale to power my home from solar overnight? like using 100 to 200 rolls of kitchen aluminum foils... I hope u got the idea what i am trying to say... Please let me know.
@@joyofelectronics9782 can you please elaborate why? i was thinking of making 50,000 to 60,000 farad capacitor and use it as battery to get few hours back up. How is it not feasible? plz explain, thank you for your time.
@@kiahalhay1163 if you wanna do that it’s better to build a Supercapacitor instead of electrolytic capacitors. Because to get 50,000 Farads with electrolytic capacitors is almost impossible. But with Supercapacitor it’s not an issue. Here is the link: How to Make a Professional Supercapacitor at Home. Very nice your video and the construction friend if you want Make a video where you measure the voltage of the capacitor with a multimeter and let's see how long it holds 6 volts Otherwise it's a very nice video just let's see a little 6 volts how long does one last joy nd I'm telling you this so that I can understand if this particular supercapacitor or supercapacitor if we can use it for a battery like that because as usual supercapacitors now become very good batteries with bms that's why I'm telling you otherwise Okay okay if it's a simple one capacitor Ok it's a very nice capacitor The question is if it can work as a battery too Hi
Thanks my friend. This video was intended to give an idea about how to make electrolytic capacitors. This is not a Supercapacitor. As you say the supercaps can used as an alternative to batteries. I have some detailed videos about Supercapacitors as well. I would be very happy if you take look to them 👍
