Love this. At 35:31 I thought “bring the bass in, NOW!”… and that’s exactly what you did. You make the whole process so logical. There’s a lot of artistry going on here, little things making a huge difference, that really only comes from experience. It’s difficult to teach that, but you’re giving us accurate coordinates. I think this is one of your best vids. Very talented guy. Great ear. Respect.
This is brilliant! Thank you so much! I've always wanted to create a bridge of breaks and trance (I DJ and produce trance and my husband DJ and produces DnB) so for us to combine our musical tastes.. this is it! We've been listening to Bicep for a few years now and it's a dream to make something along those lines, this tutorial has made our creative juices flow! I am a novice with Ableton so thanks again!
I just watched yr free workshop on 10th July 2024, The X-Ray technique and the 12 step sound design that you demonstrated blew my mind. Thank you for doing these presentations and also making them free that was truly awesome to see it in action. ❤🔥🔥
Just To say you are great!! I was producing music until 5 years (as a hobby and published something on soundcloud), then I left for a while and now thanks to you I got back to start making some music ! Thanks 🙏🙏
Hey Will, I loved your latest video - it was awesome! Could you do a tutorial on Progressive House next, in the style of Anjunadeep and Colorize artists? I'm working on an album with some Melodic House and Deep House tracks, but I need to add some Progressive House tracks. Your old tutorials, like the one on Tinlicker, were beneficial. Your explanations are always easy to follow, so more of those would be amazing! Also, I know you use Serum a lot to create sounds from scratch, and I love that as I use it too, but it would be really cool if you could also try using Diva in a future video. I recently got Diva a couple of months ago, but I'm still figuring out how to use it. Keep up the great work!
Thank you again, Professor, for this video course. Easy to understand and reproduce. If you want some challenges, Aaron Sevilla (Afro House) or Kungs and Solveig (French touch)
Great job as always Will. I’m 20 days into trialing Ableton & have to say am impressed - much more atuned to electronic & Techno than Logic. More expense (sigh) & frankly I blame you…
Currently at about half way. Been pausing a lot to catch up, I am not proficient moving around in this stuff, and also like to play with the knobs some when doing something new, both to learn and to make the project my own. I also did different samples, scale, chords.. I kept the same basic bassline rhythm... but hell yeah! This is great and I am learning a ton for a relative newb.
@@EDMTips thanks again, I learned a ton. I even tried using abletons new Auto Shift for tuning vocal samples, but I preferred just pitching the sample, as I couldnt get auto shift to not create artifacts with the samples I used. I just need to confront my weak points of arranging and transitions to turn this into something.
Will i loved this project very mush but i have ableton live 10 and cant afford an upgrade RN, Is there any chance i can convert this project to my version of Ableton Live 10?
hey Will, i know its not a Genre whats create tons of clicks... but is it possible that u can do something like Illitheas - Echoes in the Dark or Diago - Sequentia or Waterfall or 🤣🤣 Verto??? i know that uplfiting or euporic trance isnt that style in this kind a thing many ppl are interested in but i totaly fall in kove with Echoes in the dark... in my opinion an incredible tune... ☺️☺️☺️
will can you help me man, or anyone for that matter I have been following these tips for months and months, from understanding gain staging to eq to saturation and compression , I believe I'm doing everything properly, but the issue is any time I listen to my track and compare it to a reference, my song sounds just as loud if not louder! but as soon as I mix on decks with my song vs another its quiet as sh*t and its really really getting to me now, I don't know what else to do other than switch to ableton, as I believe FL STUDIO has very low quality audio/ plugins/ etc CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I START PULLING HAIR OUT. thanks
Have you checked your junk mail folder? The files are emailed to you. If they haven't arrived, email me at will@edmtips.com and I'll send them manually. Then we can turn that disappointment into , erm....appointment!?
@@EDMTips😂 It’s just next to your left hand where your mouse is, has a load of potentiometer on in it silver coloured looks like a controller to me 🤔 Does not have a brand on it? 🙏
I think tutorials should be concise and most viewers wouldn't want to watch all the trial and error involved. How much time do you think you spent searching for the vocal samples? I can spend hours searching for the right sample and never find what I'm looking for. Samples can contribute a lot to the vibe of a song but it's probably my least favorite part of the process
