Thank you for this detailed instruction vodeo! I am looking at setting up casting equipment at my shop instead of outsiurcing this part of production process for my miniature motorcycle models. You helped me estimate the complexity of the process. And better appreciate the work that the craftsmen do for me, when I outsorce the casting of parts. Thank you!❤

I like this ! it's a bit like a sandcast, but with Rubber instead of casting sand. And of coarse there's the additional step of vulcanizing the mold.

El hile de silicon es muy apreciado,pero un poco mas caro. El hule convencional que se usa para vulcanizar,tiene una propiedad increible...por ejemplo sí se copia una medalla y este molde de ahoga durante 24 horas en petroleo......se inchs aumentando asta 500 por ciento la figura que se encuentre grabada:posteriormente con parafina colada se obtiene una reproduccion bastante mas grande y a un costo minimo. Intentelo es fabuloso

Good night, lovely information on the pull apart because I’m constantly having to re do molds because of the cutting finish. If I don’t don’t hv the micro powder what else can I use?????

Hello! Thank you for your question! Some people use Talc Powder, but the Mica works better.

Question: at what temperature does the vulcanizer have to stay at in degrees and how long? I have a older one that is not working full strength

This depends on the rubber you are using: Belicone Rubber 350F for 15 mins per ¼ sheet. Castaldo Rubber VLT 160F for 90min 170F for 60min 180F for 45 min 190F for 30min Castaldo Super Hight Strength 350 for 15 min peer ¼ inch sheet Gemni Rubber 350F for 7 min per ¼ in sheet Different mold rubbers cure at different temps and times. Please follow the manufacturers instructions.
