this is an ancient type of glitch that existed since the first release of Brood War. You could make mutalisks from anything, as long as you had 1 hydra with Lurker upgrade. You could even turn your buildings into a mutalisk
Pretty funny. I saw this in a pro-setting where they were talking about it recently on VODs. My playing days are years over, but I remember how I used to find it awesome how I finally got good enough more than a decade ago to completely do all the tricks in those BW custom trick maps (where you have to complete a different trick each arena till you win), until I could do them consistently. The perma-cloaked arbiter unit trick was my favorite. I thought that was pretty much everything you could do, right in those compilations of them. And then we discover, there is still more to learn and do. This I find somewhat amazing. If this was in another time and date, I would imagine this would have been patched out of the game a long time ago. Especially so with the old hacker explosions where they even exploited similar tricks with burrow, or the add-on free mineral refund, and then with comp/hack assistance, made it terribly abusive - I would find this to be one as well, to be patched out one patch away. Half price archons. I really should start playing again, but I am wondering without many of the scenes that used to exist, how hard they will push to get this patched out asap.
You lose those reflexes as you age. Used to pop overkills all the time in halo 3, wiping out entire teams in seconds. Now I’m lucky if I can take out two at a time. Nvm four at once.
Since they've lost all the old source code and had to redo the game from scratch, that means there can be a lot of exploits and bugs that are absent in the original game.
This isnt true; they still had the source. Infact a full copy of the source was found on a disc; some guy got some gaming mice/keyboards from blizzard for returning it.
