Jordan Stallion of the fast-food secrets club. Here's the real ingredients on how to make Big Mac sauce. Do with this what you will. 1 cup mayonnaise ¼ cup of sweet pickle relish 2 tbsp of Dusseldorf mustard but regular mustard will work. 1 tsp of white wine vinegar 1 tsp of onion powder 1 tsp of granulated garlic. 1¼ tsp paprika ⅛ tsp of white pepper Have Fun!
@@larry45044they don't actually use premade mayo. They make the mayo from scratch with these other ingredients in the mix. McDonald's also says they use coarse grain brown mustard and fresh minced onion, not yellow mustard and dehydrated onion as this recipe does.
Thank you mate. Or should that be, thanks Mac!! That sounds great. I am definitely going to try that. Thank you for getting right to it - no messing about. Succinct and right to the point. I like that!! Best regards from the Giant’s Causeway coast of northern Ireland. 😄👍🍔☘️
I couldn't get Granulated Garlic or Granulated Onion, or Smoked Paprika so I used Garlic Powder and Onion Powder, and regular paprika, and let me just say that it still tasted the same as the Big Mac Sauce!
@@theresadowns3457 It's a more coarse version of powder. Regular garlic powder is almost like flour. White and very powdery. Granular garlic powder is what you usually use for BBQ rubs, more brown and coarse. And you can buy this at any supermarket that has herbs and spices. But small local Asian stores usually have them cheaper.
I tried it and my most critical evaluators (11 yo and 10 yo grandsons) gave the sauce 12 thumbs up (??????) and the rest is history..so are the burgers
i do this as well for my burgers but a bit different. for the base, I too use mayonaise and a little bit of mild, English mustard. I like to use diced pickle, considering whether the pickle is sweet or sour. if its sweet, i use some kind of acidity, whether it be vinegar or lemon and if it's sour, i usesome kind of sweet liquid such as a good quality bbq sauce or even tomato paste. i grate some onion or shallot into the sauce and some garlic if im not using aoli. sometimes i dont want to use pickle, so instead i use sweetthing as i said before and sour thing i said before, this sauce can become quite custoisable to suit almost any kind of meat
I just made the sauce and ate with hamburger in my opinion the pickle or the onion was a bit too much but in general it was perfect, thank you very much chef ❤️
Chef "Dan"; executive chef for McDonald's says to use white wine vinegar in his video from several years back. It's on RU-vid. I'm sure regular white distilled works, but he says white wine vinegar. I make it all the time. My daughter's friends think it's the bomb. lol
Man old vid but thank you. So many articles with ketchup and French dressing. Knew they used neither to make theirs. This vid should be at the top when you search
If there's anyone on the fence about trying this recipe, I PROMISE you that you won't be able to tell the difference between this and McDonalds. I've been making my own Big Mac's for the past two Fridays because of this recipe!!
Garlic powder will work… the difference is the texture… granulated garlic is more like sand and less likely to clump up… garlic powder has a flour like consistency.
Make all our own sauces-cocktail, coleslaw, Thousand Island, tarter, etc. Just get the basic ingredients and look for those with lower salt, no high fructose corn syrup, no msg, etc.
I tried it with french dressing and it was horrible. If you don't eat FD then you'll prob like it. But I eat FD and that's all I tasted, same with Thousand island. Didn't taste like authentic big Mac sauce to me. But this is how I made it one time by mistake to put on my store bought white castle cheeseburgers and it was delicious. So I can attest to this recipe. I added minced onions and a tablespoon of ketchup tho
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I’ve tried so many on the Internet, some put ketchup in it and minced onion it taste nothing like original big Mac sauce.
I’m sure this makes a delicious burger sauce, but anyone hoping it’s a near exact copy-cat recipe will be disappointed. I don’t say that to be critical but all food from fast food joints are loaded with chemicals and ingredients not readily available to the public so it’s technically impossible to replicate a recipe. For instance, here are the ingredients listed on McDonald’s website for the Big Mac sauce: Soybean Oil, Sweet Relish (diced Pickles, Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Distilled Vinegar, Salt, Corn Syrup, Xanthan Gum, Calcium Chloride, Spice Extractives), Water, Egg Yolks, Distilled Vinegar, Spices, Onion Powder, Salt, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Garlic Powder, Vegetable Protein (hydrolyzed Corn, Soy And Wheat), Sugar, Caramel Color, Turmeric, Extractives Of Paprika, Soy Lecithin. So right away you’ll see that this can not be replicated at home, which is not a bad thing because your way better off making your own (such as the one in this video)using as many pure base ingredients as you can.

This is actually insane. I remember when I was little and I'd try to find big mac sauce recipies online but it never hit the spot. This blew me away. Tastes 99% the same.
I mixed it all up aand it dosnt taste like it in my opinion... last time i made it was a recipe that calls for Thousand island which tasted way more like it so Im adding some lol
I made it but I modified by adding sugar, more paprika and a little bit of tumeric which gave a a very close but the mustard was too much. Next time I would put less.
The color is all wrong I get a yellow color from the mustard. I believe the vinegar should probably be red wine vinegar which would give the proper light pink color.
Hi. I've been eating big Mac's since they first came out. I know there's another ingredient! Pinch of horseradish! Trust me, you can taste it in their sauce.
