Another great video. Thanks for the tip on cutting the cabbage. Psalm 18 is one of my favorite ones as well. And look at you dancing away... you go girl!!
Those who are new to this dish, roasting the chiles and garlic, even the bay leaves and other herbs you have will bump up that flavor! Impress your man and don't skip that step 😎
Hi Josefina. I found your channel through R&R. I am also from MX and I alos like to cook beef Pozole. I add neck bones to the broth at the same time I add thr meat and that adds more flavor to the broth. I've never tosted my peppers or garlic, but I will try that next time. Very true we do not use much cummin in our family either. Here is TX they add it to all mexican food😝. Dont care much for that. Keep up the good work God bless you
I'm so thankful Jess at R&R shared your page!! I'm from California (now living in Virginia). My aunt is from Mexico and would make so many delicious meals (Pozole being one of them). I've never made it with beef though, so I can't wait to try! And now I'm about to binge all your other cooking videos (🤣)....they're making me hungry. 🤤 Keep 'em coming!
So fun! I watched your tortilla soup video this morning, before going to an event where they were serving pozole. It was delicious, so I came home and said to myself, I wonder if Josefina can teach me how to make this! Thank you! I can’t wait to make both soups…a lot!
I love that! Please tell me what you think when you do! If you have Instagram I’d love to see a picture. It my favorite when subscribers find me there and send me poctures
Great video. I’m a fan of beef pozole with all the toppings. It was a good idea to mention rinsing the hominy, I learned that the hard way with a very salty bowl of pozole😏
I thought I was recording the draining and rinsing process but definitely didn’t record so I tried to make sure to remember to mention the rinsing part cuz yes all that salt!🤪
@@rosekeaton1098 Some hominy can be quite salty straight from the can. It’s better to rinse it than take a chance and end up with a pot of pozole to salty to eat!
Loved this video, you could totally tell you made it with lots of love & that your passionate about food. Subscribed to your channel after watching this :) Can't wait to see what other yummy foods you make!! Lots of love to you!!
@@soilandsazon one more thing I forgot to say, thank you for only using fresh herbs & ingredients✨✨May your channel continue to grow so that you may be supported doing what you love!! ✨💞🙏
👋 Pumpkin Spice * I like your comment I also think I Dream of Homestead is a wonderful cook, I feel the same about her as you do. I just recently subcribed to her cooking channel just a few days ago, I think she's awesome. Take care, and I'll see you on your other comments.😉 (🙋😷☺✌)
Hello. I was looking for Posole recipes. I haven’t visit your channel for a long time. I love your beef pozole video. I’m visiting your channel again and again. Thank you very much.
Hello curious on one of the steps , the carrots and celery that you first boiled, do I put them back in or separate them and use it for something else?
I gave mine to my chickens! I know a lot of people like to puree and add back to their broth. It’ll thicken it up but will change the flavor of the pozole. You can also freeze and puree into other soups!
Yay! So if you add pork a mix of anything bone in plus some boneless butt is my favorite! Same method of cooking it for a while so it gets really tender!
@@soilandsazon it was amazing!! I used "New Mexico" chiles (that was what it said on the package" instead of all the lovely ones you had, but it was just great! I also threw in the last of the beans I had from my garden. So good!! And plenty left over to freeze for another day! :-)
The day before Christmas I will make this. Haven't made pozole in a long time. Since it will be just my husband. Maybe our son and grandson will drive down.
@@soilandsazon it turned out really good. My youngest son and grandson came down and ate seconds. My oldest will be coming on new years and asked if I could make some since his brother told him he missed out on beef pozole and all our favorites. He told him I made biscochitos etc.
Mm good but I don't like cilantro its just over power taste for me but other then that I never tried beef pazole sounds so good I will try and make that one thanks
