Yum! This is my favorite kind of tamales! If the masa isn't red I always know it just won't be as flavorful. Thank you for teaching me the right way of doing it myself!
Ise la receta que esta Abajo de la "descripcion" que dice 1 paquete de Maseca para tamales 🫔 + 3 vasos de manteca "Lard" + 2Tbs de baking powder "royal"+ 4 vasos de chicken broth + 20 Chiles guajillos + y 2 Tbs de chicken Bouillon.... Ahora copie la receta de la descripcion primero. Lo empese y intente Segir su video. Despues me di cuenta que la cantidad que usa en el video es mucho, mucho menos que lo que esta en la descripcion. Escoji este video porque queria intentar hacer masa sin comprar la preparada de la tienda. Ya tenia la harina para tamales 🫔. Encontre esta receta y lo ise al pie de la letra. Yo tengo el mismo kitchen aid que esta en el video y tristemente, la cantidad de la receta en la descripcion no cave en el kitchen aid... amaze la cantidad enorme de esa masa a Mano por 2 horas y nunca logre que flotara. Tomo Mucha mas agua, bueno "chicken broth" para poder llegar a una consistencia normal, pero como es mi primera vez haciendo esta masa....yo no sabia que mas hacer. Ise los tamales igual, y no salieron bien. Para la siguente compro la masa y me ahorro este problema. Que triste 😞 Es mucho trabajo para desperdiciar tanta comida.
Buenos días amiga linda si tu masa no flota solamente asegúrate que lo batas por una hora muy bien que quede todo muy bien incorporado de todos modos tus tamales te van a salir a la perfección felices fiestas🙋♀️❤️🙏🏻
Hello Gloria! I can't wait to make your red masa. But I have a very important question: you've listed the ingredients above, but the amount of harina Maseca says one packet. Do you mean one package? I plan to make a half recipe, as there are only two of us. So, if I divide your recipe in half, how much Maseca should I use? 2 cups? 3 cups? Something else? Also I have a partial bag of instant Pan. Is that the same thing as instant masa for tamales, the same thing as the Maseca you use? Many thanks!

Great videos.. I'm a fan now!! Sadly I dont have a huge mixer like that. So I will use my hand mixer on the lard . I think that will make a world of difference .
