which I actually understand because they have their privacy and can enjoy their meal without people staring at them or taking pics without their consent. Sadly a lot of people forget that even celebs like them are allowed to have privacy and not have their pics taken everywhere they are especially while eating etc.

@@minimi1 they definitely wouldn't have. It takes a while to make and they would have had to prep it hours in advance. Kitchens prep their food hours before opening, if they didn't have duck that morning when they got ingredients, they would not be remotely ready to make duck.

TBH its not weird (for them), coz the way they say hello while making a call is 여보세요 (yeoboseyo), and usually getting answer with 네 (ne) or 여보세요, 네.. coz as far as i know if you answer only with 여보세요 its kind like you said "pardon me" so its like this, if A calling B, the B will said 여보세요, and then the A will answer with 네 or 여보세요, 네.. if the A answer with 여보세요 too, then the B somehow kind of assuming that A did not hear B well.. and depend on the conversation you can always omit the goodbye and replace it with thank you and any other proper phrase.. but this is truly just base on my knowledge based on my observe, please correct me if i'm wrong..

in korea they have a similar saying for 'goodbye;' that doesnt translate to goodbye in english but it serves the same purpose in korean. The word would basically mean "cut the line" or "to come to an end" And hello they use one meaning of hello only for phone calls,so the word they use to greet wouldnt be used in actual conversation

When you call, the "Ne" you say when you start talking is a kind of greeting and expression that you want to talk about your business, and the long "Ne" you say before hanging up is a kind of goodbye or good luck. Ne is translated directly as yes or okay and is a kind of a positive expression
