Hello everyone!
Today I am sharing the first half of how I start my rolling tray sets. I will how how i finish and personalize them in the next video. I home this was informative.
A few people commented previously about the camera angles. Please understand that i am recording on a small desk with limited space. Bare with me while i received things to update my office all at once. I see and appreciate all feedback.

I'm new to epoxy resin but I've been watching all kinds of videos on it and one thing that keeps coming up is gloves for sure, safety glasses, and a respirator n95...not a mask but an actual respirator for gases, fumes, vapors, and other particles...many people that have been doing epoxy without one have been having serious respiratory problems...they say even if you can't smell anything while doing the projects the epoxy is putting out toxic fumes that you breathe in as you're working...it's one of the first things I bought before I started...just thought I would share what I learned before you end up with any health issues working on your projects...the brand 3M has some inexpensive respirators and the cartridges that attach on both sides...makes sure you get the ones specifically for the reasons I listed above...you can Google what you need and it will say on the site which cartridges to get...I hope this helps...

When i say mask i am speaking of my respirator … you’ll see a peek of my filter when i take off my glasses to put it on … thats also why I switch to voiceover … you would barely be able to hear me speak with it on …. Thank you for the feedback and thank you for watching❤️

I didn’t use nitrile gloves for the first 6 months I starting making things with resin. My fingers started cracking and bleeding. It took me months to get them all healed. Hard lesson learned.

I really never thought to use them for resin … i wonder if it would peel out once hard! But yes i save them i someone mentioned rubbing them lightly with nail polish remover to get the lettering off … i haven’t tried it but that would be a game changer ….

Love your work but try to use baby wipes to clean your mold the alcohol tend to dry them out and make them crack

pink alcohol ink always stains every thing really pretty set, i make a tray set for make up jewellery and it takes 40oz uk cost just resin is £42!!! to make lol

Hi Ellie!! I never noticed how the pink stains... ive mostly used it in coasters ... next time ill be more careful.... and that seems expensive to make. But i am sure it is well worth it ❤️

@@chasiquedesigns2420 i use a few makes of alcohol ink and every single pink stains everything but does not transfer to anything you make after as long as its dry, not even isopropanol gets the bugger off, like the tray i use is the same as yours i just use trinket boxes brush cubes jewellery stands out of left overs i try and plan my colours for main project that will work with the trays lol then it doesnt feel as bad as that just cost me £42 now how much do i try and sell it for lol, i also sell all parts on their own so people can build their own to their budget

I am struggling with getting my design to show up on the correct side😢 every time I make a rolling tray the design I want comes out on the underside of the bottom of the tray instead of the inside

so do you pour left over resin in, and couple days go by and when you have more left over resin, do you pour it over the cured resin?

Hi! That is correct ….. as i finish various or one large project the extras get poured in to molds where i can create a not so random color scheme

Hey i got the heat gun from Amazon …. Its good for projects that you need the heat but not the forceful air

Ive had to gather advice from other makers .... and pulled whatever knowledge i could from my foggy brain. My suggestion is to charge materials times two.

😂😂😂 sorry Cassandra i dropped the ball and forgot to record finishing the trays in the midst of weddings and baby showers i needed to just get them done … I have a new order for a set so if anything I’ll at minimum record the process of finishing this set off. I knew someone would ask eventually. Now that the world is opening up ive been busier with providing things for events vs being creative with my resin. ❤️ please be patient with me… I’m coming 🤗

For sharp edges i sanded using a nail file and then smoothed with a nail buffer …. I did smooth a super thin layer of resin afterwards just to give the shine on the sanded parts. The one warning I’ll give is for the jar mold … dont over fill … smoothing the top of the lids were time consuming but it got done
