This is very similar to persian rice we make especially adding barberries (زرشك). The way we cook it is boil the rice first in larger amount of water and once cooked we drain it and add it to the ingredients by layering. First one layer of rice, then the mix, then rice, the mix. Lastly the rice again. That way you have nice layered effect. Plus, cooking the rice first insures that you got long grains of rice. I hope I made sense.

Yum! It's great to see a vegetarian plov alternative. My dad usually doesn't even break the garlic cloves apart, just cooks it whole and it turns out delicious.

Do you really eat the whole garlic cloves or do you put them aside when the dish is on your plate? Will the cloves give the dish any flavor while cooking or can you only taste the garlic when you eat a clove?
@hellobonjour9513
@hellobonjour9513 7 лет назад
Miss Roma When they cook, garlic cloves are tasty, not spicy, and it becomes really creamy. You'll still get garlic breath though

what happened to the garlic skins?
@takacsovatattoo
@takacsovatattoo 7 лет назад
nothing, the garlic inside turns out very creamy, and if you just crush the clove itself in your hands, the buttery garlic comes out. you eat it with the rice, but discard the clove... sometimes I suck it out lol...

Can you please keep up with your RU-vid channel? I get that you might have personal problems to deal with, but it would be nice if you gave us something like "Hey guys, I'm going through personal issues. I won't be uploading for a while, Sincerely, Olga". You don't have to go into detail, but a nice note letting us know would be considerate and something a respectable and professional RU-vidr would do. The type of RU-vidr that actually gives a f*ck about their fans, you know, the people that make their channel.
