Thanks for the video. I have been looking into making samples in Acid Pro and selling them. Question, what genre of samples seem to sell the most? My guess would be hip hop and pop, but it looks more like you sell based on instrument, key, and tempo than genre?
This was great. Would have liked to hear about how you ensure copyright. Ie: if a track went huge with one of your samples, royalty free yes but they couldn’t claim copyright. Also what licence do you offer. There’s a lot more, I’m sure when it comes to actually protecting your work.
I am so confused. Am I allowed to use other programs sounds and make a beat/ rhyme and then it's okay to sell them? Also, I heard I can include hits of sounds. Does that mean if I use a synth for example from cubase, I am allowed to sell that individual sound in my sample pack? Sorry, I am totally new.
So personally, I try to just make sure all the samples in a given pack are of relatively the same volume. Not a very specific answer I know but it works for me.
Hope you're having an amazing day! You're know for giving away free samples, you did a lot and you're still doing it. DId you think that this strategy help you grow your Instagram following? In one of your videos, you told us to give value, if we want to see growth. Is giving away royalty free samples a good way to achieve this result ? And, how do you transition from giving away free stuff to selling packs since people are use to have them for free ? Peace.
Yeah I try to post a lot of different kinds of content to keep things fresh but yeah free samples is a cool way to give value. And when I wanted to make a pack I just did it haha nothin crazy with the transition
