This is a fun and easy project that can be made in an afternoon. Get some double sided quilted fabric, either from the fabric store or quilt a yard of fabric yourself. Making these placemats and napkins are made by cutting and serging around the edges. For one yard of quilted fabric, you can make six placemats and one yard cotton matching fabric you will get six 14 inch napkins. With extra fabric you can make cocktail napkins that are 8 1/2 inch square. You can make them for the summer or for special occasions.
