love the walking part - especially the little hop

THIS is the hardest thing for me to do when I'm practicing!! Just yesterday when I was practicing, I realized that I just wasn't looking where I wanted to go but where I was, and I tend to use too much throttle. On the left turn from a stop, I have NO problem. What's wrong with my brain!!?? In reality, on the streets, I always turn slightly to the right so that it is a little easier to move out.

I just bought a used bike and haven't ridden in many years. The bike I bought is not the typical bike I use to ride. Most of my experience is on 900 to 1100 crotch rockets. I bought a crusier, Honda VTX 1300, so, my wife and I can ride together. Thanks for the videos brother.

The fact that most people are right handed,, is the reason why left turns are usually easier to learn first…. Good things is most u turns are going to be towards the left

I been turning right handed with my right foot up. I switched early on because I’m left footed and I would have a lazy right foot, so sometimes I would catch my foot under the bike. But it does make more sense to do it left foot up. Good video!

Great explanation. I am down within 8 feet and working to trust myself with my Road King to do it within 6.

Thanks for the point of not dragging the down foot. Risk of injury to the ankle getting caught! I’ll have to stop doing that before it becomes a real tough habit.

Great info! Another problem I find when trying to help newer riders is their fear of leaning the bike. Another reason all the other exercises are so important. People can lear a lot from you folks. Keep it up!

Thanks for encouraging us to get out there and practice! I have a little trouble when I have to cross the left lane of oncoming traffic turning left. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong except maybe picking up a little too much speed. Great video!

First thing I did with my CB500, dropped it at a right T turn - sooo embarrassing. This out in the wilderness, so no worries, but still. I don't take anything lightly now, I'm telling you. Thanks for great work both of you!

I can do rights well but SUPER tight lefts are harder for me (like set cones to 3’ and front tire up to the line of the cone path perpendicular to me

Here in the Philippines our curbs are 90° and our lanes are narrower. The curb coming out of my neighborhood is about twice as high as a typical U.S. curb. At nearly every intersection, there are buildings built right on both streets, so there is no line of sight. Plus it likely that if you are a little ways away from the curb, that another motorcycle will pass you on the right or left and not even stop. Chaos is what we have to contend with. We have to assume bad behavior in Filipino drivers. I had this happen to me last week that a truck passed me on the left when I was stopped at the intersection and then he turned right, right in front of me! I almost wrecked!

Hill start turn is harder when you need to use the rear brake so you dont have a leg to put down in the right

I think right turns are lost folks weakness when starting lol. It was mine. Slow right turns.

RIDE SAFE...RIDE FREE...RIDE OFTEN...

Sounds sounds like a good technique. Myself whenever I come to a stop my right foot never goes down I stop with my rear brakes the last one or two miles an hour possibly apply some front brake for a complete stop at the same time ensuring I am in first gear and only if necessary right foot down to check to make sure I am in first gear and then immediately right foot back on or should I say covering the real break and left foot always on the ground. Once I start to move gently apply real break for drag clutch to friction zone as well as RPMs up this holds the bike somewhat back but allows forward motion and when I start to move front wheel and direction of travel and with somebody for counterweight. As my speed reaches above 5 or 10 miles an hour I can actually lean the bike due to the increase in speed as well as at the same time lightening up on real break and coming out of the frictions on and governing the throttle plus or minus as needed. But that is my technique I also ride a goal and I suppose everyone does it differently. But my slow speed riding I always utilize the friction zone as well as real break for drag coming to a stop turning or just slow speed and traffic regardless to how slow good video
