The only thing better is mixing the creme with the purple cabbage one hour before assembling tacos.Trust me... makes all the difference! Also squeeze more fresh lime on assembled 🌮

Talking about devaining the shrimp, doing that bothers me, as well! I can't eat crawfish at crawfish boils because cracking them open makes me cry, even though I like the taste. If it were easier to be a vegetarian, I would, but it's too much to keep track of when processed meat is so readily avaliable!
Looks delish! I can't wait to try this recipe!! Shrimp is my favorite seafood, right above crab legs. Im super fortunate cuz i live in AK on an island, we go out on the boat, drop the shrimp n crab pots and hours later we have fresh as you can get shrimp and crab. Ive always wanted to try lobster though, never have. They sell it at the grocery store but up here we're always taught not to buy store sold seafood so Im waiting until I can try a real fresh lobster someday.

@@PreppyKitchen Thanks! That's exactly what I did and the other suggestion was to mix on low and to not over mix so I did that as well. The cheesecake came out perfect too. I can't wait to make these tacos.

If you are ever in Vero Beach Florida, go to Mulligans Beach House and order their Crispy Tuna Roll. It is amazing. Raw Ahi Tuna wrapped in a Thai ginger wrap and fresh veggies and fried! You should go there and replicate the dish and share it with us! 😋

OMG !!!! I did make this recipe today as I mentioned that I would be doing. I am on a low carb diet ,so i didnt make it into tacos. I did a shrimp "taco bowl" I used Johns recipe for the marinade, the salsa and everything else For the sour cream,since i never use it,,i mixed up 3 tablespoons of full fat plain greek yogurt, 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar, a dash of salt , lime juice and zest and a touch of water.It was fabulous. I added some green onions to the salsa and used diced hatch chilies instead of the jalapeno. I added to smallest dash of cayenne pepper for a touch of hottness ( im a light weight, i can not eat hot stuff ) i layered some sliced cabbage with some parm cheese, the avocado mixed in. Then i put the shrimp that i had cooked in butter with the marinade juices that i reduced after the shrimp were cooked.., spooned the salsa generously and drizzled the yogurt mixture on top. The dish looked very pretty with all the festive colors and the taste........ OMG OMG.John is totally correct..the shrimp marinade was to die for. I made a huge bowl of this and ate almost all of it in one sitting. I did add some lemon juice and more garlic than called for. i exercised restraint and did save some for tomorrow's breakfast. I didnt miss the tortillas at all, but it will be nice to try this recipe AS a TACO next time i make it...its on the Dish Rotation now. Thank you John..nom nom nom
