Hi and welcome to Preppy Kitchen! This channel is for people who love food and enjoy learning new recipes and techniques so you can make delicious dishes to share with your family and friends! You'll find new videos every Tuesday and Thursday with step-by-step instructions so you can make anything with confidence. I’m John Kanell, a husband, dad to twins Lachlan and George, Los Angeles native, and an avid baker and cooker of all things delicious thanks to a life long education from my mother. My mom cooked every meal we had and I loved spending time with her in the kitchen watching, helping, and learning as she made everything from scratch. After finishing my degree in fine arts at UCLA I spent just over a decade teaching math and science to wonderful 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. A few years ago I decided to get back to my roots and Preppy Kitchen was born! For me the most satisfying part of making any dish is sharing it, so I started blogging to bring what I make to all of you.

I made a pumpkin cake today using another recipe, not yours, big mistake. Love all your tips as I can see exactly what I did wrong now. Back to the drawing board for me. How I love your channel.
🇺🇲👏 enjoy! 🇻🇪😋👍make them the way you like the most. The most common method is slightly brown on the sides and then into the oven untill they sound like a little drum 🙂👍 Oster de Venezuela invented the "Tosty-Arepa", that's in case you feel lazy or don't have much time for cooking , 110v, small arepas. Maybe found in the US ¿?🤔
Bro you're the only cooking channel I genuinely enjoy watching. Because you're so real. You're not fake or have that "cooking channel" character. You are you. And I love that
It is not a Mexican cake. The recipe came from all over central, south America, and the Caribbean. Nestle promoted their products by inventing this recipe, and placing it in their cans label. 🙄
First time ever baking a cake. Tried it today with my kids as a summer activity and cake came out yummy... never believed that I could bake a tastier and soft cake like this. ❤❤❤
