I tried different sizes and ultimately ended up with 55 pilot and 180 main. So far, this combination gave me the best results. I made adjustments with the fuel air screw also. I will post a video riding it as soon as the weather gets better.
@@Lirvic86cvmy cm250 c has a secondary main that I opened up and when it opens you can literally hear/feel the difference between main and secondary have you opened or does your carb have a secondary main it’s on the bottom of the emulsion tube on my carb
Runs great. Better than the 2 carburetor setup. Had to put bigger gets and adj the fuel air mixture. I have the same setup on my vstar 650 and it runs great. The cylinders pull air and fuel individually so the this setup wont harm anything. From my experience its been 👍
@@Lirvic86cv nice! One more question: the carburetor is quite large and sticks out to the side - does it interfere with driving? (I was thinking about same setup for my Kawasaki VN750 last year, but wasn't sure if it works)
@MrBaclajan no. It's far from my leg , and everything works as it should. I had to widen the holes on the bracket where the throttle cables mout they were to narrow for my cables, but after that everything worked good.
@MrBaclajan i would definitely do this setup for the vn750. Those carbs are a pain to remove and put back on. I have one of them here that im that im gonna turn into a bobber, and i might do the same, just don't want to deal with carb cleaning headache.
@@Lirvic86cv yep, this winter I thought about disassemble carburetors to clean it. But then I realised amount of work and how many other details I need to disassemble first... So I decided to leave all this for the next winter. =)) Just changed motor oil and put some grease where it necessary. It would be great to see your work with VN750 - it will definetely help me to do same setup and avoid some mistakes.
@mrworldwide6770 im not sure you can find them very easily. I saw one online. I believe it's in the 🇬🇧 UK However, it does not say what year VT750 it fits.
@mrworldwide6770 would have to have the bike to measure the distance between the two bootsand he Diameter of the boots. I have a 2003 vt750 here but im not sure if the measurements would be the same.
