I have an AI overhaul mod that gets him there. I've gone to Dragonreach and found him standing before the Jarl, and he'll also sit at a table off to the side and read.
What saddens me most is there are talented devs who clearly have a fondness for set dressing and thematic story telling, surely they deserve a company that will encourage them to go the extra mile instead or cut corners.
If only they could be as thorough as the old games like Baldurs gate and planescape torment. MAN, that'd be a game I'd wanna see. Especially in glorious 3D!Or well like Daggerfall was or Morrowind. Heck, evenOblivion had less missed opportunities than Skyrim had.
Lolz. First time I played Skyrim, game crashed when i got to riverwood for the first time..I accidentally punched a chicken, and the whole town tried to kick my ass. right about then it just crashed..
Once got caught in a weird dip on a ledge. Couldnt jump out. Tried to fast travel but something was close I was full on panicking a bit but then aarvak saved my ass. Was a close one

I second that... I love to play a sneaky character, but until you have near maxed that skill those f**king falmers still notice you. My very first encounter with those nasties was when I had actually reached a really high level in sneaking and entered a falmer infested dungeon - now they did NOT sniff me out, but worse: they kept walking around as usual, it was freaking dark as all hell and I had abso-f**king-lutely no idea they were there - until one was practically BREATHING DOWN MY NECK and I turned the camera I still check every single nook and cranny when walking in falmer territory...
I can relate to this so much, (story time) when I first played Skyrim, about 8 years old, I got told to go to bleak falls barrow I was ok, took out the bandits, got in and I was ok, but when I saw the first drougr, I nearly shit my pants

Bean Muncher22 it is implied that the headless horsemen is Ragnar the Red as he starts riding in Rorikstead and takes the long way all the way around to that burial ground by whiterun

Clockwork is one of my favorite mods. It has a Doctor Who feel to it to me. The Dwemer robots remind me a bit of Cybermen, and how they are created is disturbing.
This is exactly what I commented on the mod page. But it reminds me more of the people seeking Utopia met by the Tenth Doctor then turned into flying orbs instead. Edit: I remember them now, they are called the Toclafane by the Master
When I read “cabin in the woods” I began the hunt to find that cabin, only to my dismay that a Reddit poster let me know there is no such cabin or ghost, that hauntings of falkreath mod is exactly the type of mod I needed to make falkreath even cooler, and add even more diversity to the holds of Skyrim, the atmosphere and especially the idea that doing the dark brotherhood quests may end in a massive spriggan attacking me haha
The song the dolls are singing is "The Hearse Song" also known as "The Worms Song" its basically a song describing what happens to your corpse after you die describing in detail how the worms feast on your remains.

I played through Clockwork at 2 freaking AM and I wasn't aware that it was full of spooks until the creepy as hell sounds began to play. Scared the heck out of me and made me cry like a baby. I recommend it! It's great! 👍

I LIKE RL spiders, I handle them a fair bit, and those kinda made me uncomfortable. Their proportions are off, and they have spikes all over them, and their eyes are way too small for what looks like a wolf spider, and uuuggghhh.
Imagine me, have never faced a Chaurus before, stepping into that lighthouse filled with their clacking noise without knowing what it was the whole time. I've played dozens of playthroughs, but haven't set foot in that place a second time, even if I now know what's in there, and they're not that scary in combat.

Not exactly scary? I've had a fair share of jumpscares from various Draugr. And, that song that the dolls are singing. It's called "The Hearse Song" a rather morbid a disgusting song. A few different versions exist.
This actually gives me the chance to tell a story I was itching to tell for awhile now. I was playing as my Khajiit avatar and I was walking down a long road (I don't remember where) when I saw a blue figure on horse back walking behind me. It quickly passed me and I had never seen something like this before so I tried following it. But it was too fast so it soon went around a bend and when I turned it the figure was gone. It wasn't until I saw the images of the ghosts in this video that I found out what it was. Or what I think it was.
All of these mods adding new content remind me how small Skyrim actually is. Cities the size of villages with very few inhabitants and even then not always enough homes for everyone. A few dozen pointless fluff npc's with their own homes and jobs might have helped a lot to make the world seem more alive. I live in a village that is more populated and has more than double the buildings, Falkreath is more like a hamlet rather than province capital and that's sad.
I'm all in for horror related mods. Thanks to this video I nabbed The Falkreath Hauntings, Clockwork and the Nightbringer. Coupled with other mods I have like Dark Forests and Supreme Fog, this is gonna make Skryim so much more enjoyable for me. Needless to say, despite the many times I've played Skyrim including the OG version before any DLC got released, 2 weeks ago in the special edition I came across the Headless Horseman for the very first time. That was awesome. But then I died due to a very large enemy patrol (using the Diverse Skyrim, OBIS and Immersive Encounters mods) so when I retraced my steps, the Headless Horseman appeared again, but this time the horse was running along the path with the horseman himself running behind after it. Was so funny.

So glad I got the Clockwork mod. That introductory dungeon scared the hell out of me the first time, and subsequent playthroughs have never failed to get me spooked either.
I remember my husband installing Clockwork castle for me around 3 yrs back, watching me to play the first sequence up to discovering the castle itself. And he was so dissapointed in me not getting scared like he was xD
I was dungeon crawling in Oblviion one time. A zombie sped on me just as I turned a dark corner and scared the shit out of me. I'm glad cams weren't a thing back then.
That Nightbringer mod makes me wonder, just how many "Stalking"-type enemy mods are there? You know, the ones that spawn in a single new opponent that hunts the player and requires either fighting it to earn a brief reprieve until it resumes the hunt, or simply running like hell and hoping you can kite it into something like a group of guards or bandits to act as a distraction while you continue trying to get as many miles between you and it as possible. If I were to download and install all of them at once, just how many different recurring enemies am I going to be running from?
I wish I could figure out how to install mods! I really want to add in the nightbringer since I've decided to stop fast travelling all the time. It could be fun!
The Nightbringer one is such a cool concept! I'd wish there were more "nemesis/rival" style mods that added an NPC thay after defeat would just retreat and come back later leveling with the player.
Must I say something about clockwork.. My friend was playing it a short while back, I was laughing while I was doing my regular vanilla Skyrim. She was thinking it was a steampunk mod, I was watching her play, and she had seen the woman presented in the clockwork, how scared she was made me laugh. Eventually she found horrifying things, I enjoyed it, she didn’t. Still the mod was scary and horrifying.
Not scary?! Have you seen Frostbite Spiders!?! I cannot play Skyrim without a mod to remove them if I don't want to worry about running into them. But I guess that's an Arachnophobe problem...
Skyrim in the origin really scares me!! How could you said that it isn't? Everything coud kill you!! And you affront really dangerous and terrible situations, I feel scare with all the horrible monsters, beasts and dangerous npcs, fear it's part or the game, fear on different levels, and into all of them!!

Skyrim on its own is scary enough for 2 reasons: First I have literally lost track of the number of tines where the only warning I got about a wolf coming for me is the sound they make when they bite you as it is biting me from behind and subsequently feeling my heart stop because it scared the life out of me. Second one of the common mobs is giant fricking spiders.
I have one that is worth mentioning, i'm not sure if it's on the special edition: Into the Depths. This mod takes you into a haunted mine near riverwood, it's a short mod but it has plenty of jumpscares and a creepy atmosphere. A couple other mods worth mentioning would be VIGILANT which has a very demonic atmosphere in its later areas of the quest
Just imagine starting a new game and as you wake up in the cart (or whatever it's called) inserted of hearing the skyrim theme you hear the goosebumps theme XD
