This little scrap fabric art piece is the perfect example of where my ideas come from. Most of the time they just present themselves as the piece progresses.
I started with a swirl and then saw several possibilities for the yarn tails. The flamingo was my favourite. I also saw an octopus with 3 arms (apparently they have arms and not tentacles which I found out after I uploaded the video) and a snail. What did you see in the yarn tails?
