I have made this project but lcd is not showing any thing

imagine a scenario : - there are 4 parking slots slot 1 and slot 3 is filled , a car arrived and slot 2 is assigned to it ,a second car arrived and since slot 2 is already assigned ,the only remaining slot 4 is assigned to second car . now 1st car instead of parking in assigned slot 2 it goes to slot 4.the second car since the slot allotted is slot 4 moves towards that slot but it finds that slot 4 is filled by first car. how can we overcome such scenarios with our parking system.

Hii bro!!! It's a very good project which can be implemented....but can u tell me one thing...why are we choosing Arduino for this project? Can't we implement it thru any other means?? Why ir sensors are used? While parking or taking reverse, if there is any obstacle and ran over it might be get damage to the car. Soo can ir sensors detect these stuffs? Or should we go for any alternative solution for this...if yes please let me know the solution Plzz reply asap Thank you 😊
