Hey rob I got a question for you. I'm building a snow plow remote at of 2 wheelchairs motors I have an alternator hooked to it and it keeps drawing down when i Hit the switch on keyboard . For the alternator and it draws down I have a subtooth 2x60. I'm having a battery problem. I think I might need 4 car batteries instead of the wheelchair motor batteries. I don't know all this is new to me I'm just making it all together as I thank As I'm thinking of it. I could use some help thank you P.S. all your work is good 👍 👌

Hey Robert. I have never attempted to build a remote controlled snow plow, but if your wheel chair motors are similar to mine, they were 24v wheel chair motors which meant I only needed to wire two 12v batteries in series to increase the voltage to supply voltage to 24v. The only reason you may use more batteries is if you are trying to increase the run time, but usually you could just buy a two large 12v batteries that have more amp hours. I believe the batteries I used had 35Ah which would allow me to use my remote control mower for about 30min-1hr. You can also try to reach out to someone over at DimensionEngineering or search around for some electrical forums where you can post images of your current setup to see if you can gain some additional support that way.

A possible upgrade on this scenario as well as the water pump : You can use Sonoff Zigbee button to run scenarios by pressing it..... so no need to have your phone on. But... it needs a zigbee bridge. Easy to set it up.

Awesome. I've looked for wireless switch options in the past but never came across a "simple" solution that did not require extensive programming and wiring. Will definitely check this out when I get time and maybe even upgrade my current project/s. Thanks for the info!

What's the difference between a cable gland and a grey cable grip?
@GreenTechTown
@GreenTechTown 2 года назад
I'm not 100% sure, but quickly searching online, it seems like the names (cable gland & cord grip) are used interchangeably. I've always known them as cable glands.

Hey Dan. Unfortunately, I do not have any professional drawings/plans for the entire rain water harvesting system. I do have a few electrical plans and basic drawings for different parts of the project such as how the transfer water pump is wired, how the float switch is wired, how the support base was made, etc. found on my GumRoad page: greentechtown.gumroad.com/
