I swear, out of every tutorial I found, yours are by far the best, not only are they affordable and the materials you use easy to find but the finished product always looks amazing, awesome job!! You earned a sub! :D
This tutorial series was awesome, thanks to you I was able to make this for Halloween! Your instructions were clear and simple, I found nearly all the materials at my house, and you even made the template free! That deserves a sub
I just skipped from the #14 Iron Man Mark 4 to this build and your skills went from unique to impressive. This is so cool. I'm tempted to try this because I want one of these real bad.
This is so well done and simple! I started making this project this morning and I only managed to trace and cut so far. Will finish it soon and will def send you a picture. THANK YOU!
Hey! Just finished my mask this weekend and it looks great! thank you so much for the outline and the instructions on how to use and put everything together! its been great working on it and i m very proud of it. My only recommendation is to reverse the silver painting and the grey painting. I did it this way because it required less masking tape and made it easier in my opinion to paint. I also used this video to find out how to light the eyes up. How to Make LED Eyes For a Mask! Light Up Eyes Tutorial Cheap! By ohaple
It fit like a glove without even resizing and only one other person at the con could wear it xD Thank you Dali!! For giving me a quick cosplay in a pinch and for making me realize I have a tiny head :)
Omg this is an amazing tut plus you use cardboard and other simple things to find around the house and the finished product looks AMAZING I'm planning to be Starlord for Halloween female version I know its early but I still need to buy stuff online and everything I was looking for masks and it is to expensive yet I found this tut and I'm so excited to build it so thank you :)
For the eyes i actually went to the dollar store and got some colored clear dividers those worked really well plus you can stack them if you want a darker red or a lighter red eye :D all and all thank you for the lovely tutorial and the templates it was a fun project! can't wait to see what other builds you do.
You're just... amazing, wow, seriously this is the greatest thing I've ever watched. I want to make this, but gosh.. i feel like i would just screw up. Keep up this amazing work, its a talent
I know this is old but what paint did you use. I have never made something like this before and don't know which paints would be a good or bad idea. Edit: using spray paint and some acrylic paint for some minor details, I'm making a custom, modern version and it looks great so far.
Wow! I loved your video and it is more I committed myself to make this mask step by step and go that if it came out to me.Many thanks and please give me a like👍
Un grand merci à vous et votre chaine j ai réalisé le casque avec beaucoup de mal mais le résultat et un peu correct je n ai pas votre savoir-faire mais great thanks for this helmet great great thanks
Oh my GOD! That bloody tune! The same four bars over and over and over! AAGGH! Still, very nice build. Excellent in fact. I love the possibilities that cardboard and paper can produce. Think I'll give it a go - if I can get that goddamn music out my head!! Well done though x
Have you ever tried acrylic paint over the spray paint base? Do you think this would work well? Also, out of curiosity, about how many cumulative hours did this take you? Thanks!
sonicfreak07 i think acrylic paint over spray paint will works fine, i often use it for dry-brushing weathering effect, thick acrylic paint works almost on any surface :)
Hi DALI! Do you need to apply PVA glue after painting? I painted a piece of cardboard as a test. It still smells of strong paint? What would you suggest for safety and such?
Krys Cram no, pva is not water proof, spray paint should be the final coat. if your helmet has strong smell, put it outside let it dry for few days, it will goes away eventually :)
That's an amazing mask. And thank you for making it out of materials that we can actually find and/or already have. You did an amazing job, but I have one question: I intend on making this mask and I was wondering if you maybe have an idea as to how I can mask the cardboard texture a little more? Maybe add more paper mache? Thank you!
So I made my mask, I put the first coat of gold on and I noticed that I can see every small nic, detail that I don't want seen, I just want a smooth surface. Is there any kind of base paint I could use to help smooth it out and spray gold over it?
For the face plate in the front of the mask, how did you get it to look like a layered grill? Seeing as how it is only 1 solid sheet of calendar paper.
Okay, is PVA basically just Elmer’s glue? Cuz I can’t find the stuff in any store and don’t have time to wait for shipping because I’m a procrastinator >.
I was wondering what paint color you used for the gold/copper/bronze areas. I have a foam build that I am about to paint and can't decide on the right color. XO
Wow thanks so much for doing these videos. When I was 12 I built a full body iron man suit of foam, and it looked great. However, I couldn't get the face sculpt right, so now, years later, I found your vid,on iron man helmet, which led me to here. Now I inspired me to keep building things. How long would you say this particular project would take me?
Thanks. I might do an iron man helmet, just for old times sake. Seeing as there are much more videos for that project, how long do you think it would take me?
Sorry for all the questions but do you have a specific list of the spray paint color and type that you used? that would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!

I love your videos!! :3 I just wanted to say thanks since I used your videos to make my (on a budget) Star Lord helmet ;D I also won 2nd place in a cosplay contest at my local comic con!!!
Hey dude, very nice tutorial you got there! A short question cause I wanna try making props for once: Since spraying isn't that ecofriendly and I don't like it that much, is it possible to achieve painting that good with brushing instead of spraying?
Yeah, thanks! :) Since I found next to nothing of the sprays you use on german amazon Im quite desperate :/ EDIT: I'll look for smth in the next building supplies store
Wow this absolutely amazing!!! I'm definitely going to make this! But I am curious... how good is it, durability wise? Is this better as a decoration, or can it be worn for long amounts of time? Could it be worn for a long day at a convention as a cosplay prop, for example? You don't have to answer, but I'm genuinely curious as to your recommendations regarding this. Thanks for reading my comment!
