How to make the Pink Drink and the Strawberry Açai Base at home with fresh strawberries! This easy recipe is inspired by the famous Starbucks Pink drink, but I made without their added sugars, added flavours and used easily accessible, cheap and healthy ingredients. This recipe was requested by one of my subscribers. So please share your favourite Starbucks drinks, so I can show you how to DIY them at home and make them from scratch. #pinkdrink #starbucks #homecafe
Recipe (2 servings)
Ingredients:
Strawberry Açai Base
- 200 ml tea (hibiscus/ açai/ berry)
- 100 ml white grape juice
- 2 strawberries (make sure to wash them thoroughly)
- 1 tsp strawberry syrup (more if you want it sweeter)
300 ml coconut milk (Starbucks uses a very watery and sweetened version)
Ice Cubes
1 strawberry for decoration (Starbucks uses freeze dried strawberry)
Directions
- Brew the tea and let it cool
- Mash 2 strawberries
- Add strawberry syrup, white grape juice, and cold tea
- Strain your fresh strawberry açai base
- refrigerate
- Fill cup with ice cubes
- Fill halfway with strawberry açai base
- Top off with coconut milk
- Add slices strawberry
- Enjoy your drink!
Notes:
- Add more syrup if you like the drink to be more sweet.
- You can use frozen strawberries for the strawberry açai base.
- Use less coconut milk for a more fruity flavour. Starbucks uses very watered down coconut milk that makes the drink less creamy and rich.
- You can use freeze dried strawberries instead of fresh strawberry slices. This is what Starbucks uses for their original Pink Drink.
