I was looking for the answers to a few very basic questions and found complete bs... Till I found your tutorial. Thank you so much! Quick, easy & to the point. I sincerely appreciate you! ❤🎉
THIS! This was so helpful. The "No Cut" is what I needed because I have a bunch of Die Cut stickers I'm making w/words & the mess! It's cutting every single letter when I only needed the outline😅 so thank you so much for this!
This video is so helpful and straightforward I absolutely thank you from the bottom of my heart for making it! I was struggling figuring out how to use my silhouette portrait 3 and now it doesn’t feel so daunting getting to the sticker cutting part of the process 🤣
That’s great to hear! Glad I could help! I know when I first got mine, I was worried and watching a bunch of videos to try and figure out the settings. 😁 Thanks for watching! 💜
Thank you so, so much sweetheart!!! I just got my portrait 3 and did my first cut with no issue. Thank you. Your video was super easy to follow and I appreciate you taking the time showing every single step ❤
THANKKK YOUU You're a life saver. I currently have an an Etsy shop and I'm getting this silhouette portrait 3 for my new stickers ill be making. thanks for all the info
Dude I've been lagging on making stickers after getting a P3. I was bugging out on the tracing when all I wanted was an offset and the edge to be cut. Haha thanks kid.
Hello. Awesome video! I have a huge problem and was wondering if you could help? The cut will sometimes be 0.5 to 1mm off to the right or to the left randomly, and sometimes it’s perfectly centered. It’s no glossy. The calibration is perfectly centered and the lenght of the line too. I have the 5.02 for Portrait 3. Is that the latest firmware update? I tried finding the information on websites but couldn’t find anything.
I'm about to start using my Portrait machine soon. Not enough people that review these type of cutting machines seem to have the base level of these machines. The Portrait seems to be the least talked about. I got that one 'cause it's cheaper than the Cricut one and I didn't get the fancier ones from Silhouette 'cause they cost more, I'm not sure when I'll be wanting to use any of the extra features that comes with the one that costs more. Plus, the Portrait is smaller than the Cricut. It's not too small that only flash card sizes are the biggest that can be used. I also don't have room to store the Cricut machine as well. There was one video a few years ago that I looked at that compared all of the lines of Cricut cutters vs. the Silhouette cutters. That's when I found out about the Portrait and it being small, but not too small. Which still being in the affordable price range. The Cricut similar in price to the Portrait is the Cricut Joy and that's too small (well narrow) i.m.o. I think it does less as well. Then plenty of people were talking their hand crank machine for making stickers cheaply. Still, people would have to cut out the stickers anyway. It wasn't the Cuttlebug that they used to make. I forget the name of it, but they don't sell it anymore. Not a surprise 'cause it was still too pricey for what it was. Brother is another great company, but their stuff costs more and it's all bigger. Close to the size of a regular printer that scans and faxes.
I’m happy you found it helpful! Planner sticker kits as in Kiss-cut stickers? You can definitely make kiss-cut stickers with this machine. I can post another tutorial on those because they have different cut settings 😁
my silhouette cuts sooo wrong. especially on the bottom right. the cut moves to the right and up. and calibration does not fix the problem. does anyone know how to solve this? or just give up?
Maybe you got it corrected. But one thing you can do is turn off machine and manually slide the carriage -slowly- all the way to the left ( there is a notch in machine and a tab on carriage that slides into it) , then to the right -all the way, and then back to left again. . Then restart machine and it will adjust accordingly. You usually don’t need to do a calibration with silhouette unless you’re using off brand mats.but sometimes when loading and unloading blades you can nock it off it’s own calibration settings. Doing the above almost always corrects issue. Also be sure your holding mat while it pulls in straight against rollers. Very easy to misalign feed. Hope that helps.
