This delicious sticky rice dish with Chinese sausages and shiitake mushrooms (and much more) is such a treat! From preparing the ingredients to mixing them together, and finally, cooking it to perfection in the rice cooker, don’t miss out on this scrumptious recipe that's easy to make and worth the wait! And don’t worry if you don’t have a rice cooker, a steamer would work just fine too.
Ingredients:
Sticky rice (2 cups)
Chinese sausage
Dried shiitake mushrooms
Carrot
Cabbage (optional)
2 eggs
Garlic
Green onion
Rice wine
Dark soy sauce
Soy sauce
Cilantro
Sweet chili sauce

We normally use Napa cabbage rather than green cabbage and we don't add eggs coz I feel the eggs tend to get rubbery if it's cooked a tad too long. Sometime I might add a bit of marinated chicken to make me feel like I'm eating the lor Mai Gai from the dim sum restaurant.

Hello! I use Napa too, just depends on what’s in my fridge. The egg was an improvisation on my part and it actually tasted good! I hear you about Mai Gai. Next time I’ll make sticky rice with some chicken👍
