I especially notice your way of installing the small trim pieces around the edge of the box. Most people, I believe, would have measured the pieces. Your way was a time saver for sure.
I love the drawers and I am sure the wife is very happy. All those sponsorships for your show paid off. Love all the tools you have in your shop even though the cordless ones are dated now.
Thanks Ron, this video helps me with my kitchen cabinet project. Also, thanks for showing your “error”, the gap that is. With home projects, there’s always something you miss, but coming up with a fix can really make or break things.
Nice job, Ron. I've just completed my first pull-out drawer for pots and pans, just like yours - except I fitted the full extension slides directly to the cabinet. I was able to use the existing middle shelf for the drawer and just needed to saw off a strip so that the shelf can fit snugly between the sliders. On the left side of the cabinet I needed to fit a 20mm spacer block (pine) so that the drawer clears the lower door hinge. I'm in two minds whether to fit sides, because the pots and pans aren't going to fall off. Because I could repurpose the shelf, I only had to purchase a pair of ball-bearing slides. These cost me £5.98 from Screwfix here in the UK, so it's been a very cheap job. (About $8 US.)
Well ain't rocket science engineering, but is worth it. One thing in particular define him; how self confident, clean and organize he is. When you combine organization+cleaning=Discipline

I love the way he talks; he probably has some kind of experience in communication, radio or something like that.
Thanks I enjoyed your video very nice job. I have the same problem in my kitchen but like yours I have a dead space corner 😩 I thought you were going to address that issue of the that dead corner. Do you have any idea to address that problem?? Please give me some ideas please thanks
I have 3 questions. Did you lose that corner space, or did you have a way to access it? Did you fasten the inside cabinet to the actual cabinet, or does it just float inside there with it's own weight keeping it in place? When you measured to build the inside cabinet what was the tolerance in relation to the opening, could you make it slightly wider so it sits behind the edges of the actual cabinet on the sides?
@@gordonadams5891 yeah but he build solid cabinet box with solid back. taking that entire thing out is not as fast as accessing the valve with no obstacles.
I took the door of my cabinet and made three pullout drawers for the dishes. The result is, the drawer won't slide in smoothly and stop, I need to push them to fit in. I think the box I made is a bit bigger that pushes out the slide Thanks for the video!
Great video. I would have done it much harder. 4 drawers. That would have made a lot more dead space. I have to build first then do install. It will take me a year to build. I don't think the wife wants the pans on the counter or floor that long. Lol!
Those corner clamps appear to be Jet Jointer Clamps.. they also seem to be out of production.. There is a similar product called Quick Clamp that come out of China..
Uhhhh.. Why is everyone focusing on his workshop he put it all together with basic tools. I sometimes forget this is RU-vid and trolls will basically find anything to complain about. Ron thanks for the video been wanting to do this but never thought of building a box to put the drawers in. Keep up the awesome videos.
Godzilla All you need is a circular saw (you don’t really need a table saw), even a small one and a couple of basic tools. Why would someone without any saws and tools be watching a DYI project made from plywood? Woodworking is not magic.
