Hi Gina. I don't add water in my strawberry cake....I put Fresh Cut-up Strawberries macerated a little in their juice, about 1 cup. I still add the oil but not as much. It's wonderful. A must is Creme Cheese icing or Strawberry. Try it next time.

I like to substitute the water for evaporated milk and the oil for melted butter. I also use an extra egg which are all at room temperature. You're cake looks awesome!!$

YUUUUMMMMYYYY box strawberry cake, one of my favorite boxed cakes is Orange flavored cake and the trick to MINE is a little extra Vegetable oil it makes the cake so ooowwweeee moist. We love strawberry cake here! It was in the low 30's this morning. Last year and the year before, it got down to 7° here in North Texas. We live in Azle near Lake Worth and Fort Worth. We are heading to the Columbus area in April🙂 Our nephew lives in Williamsport(I hope I got the name right). My second time to Ohio.
Gina, that looks delicious, I love box's cakes too, they are quick and easy to make, I used to keep my cabinet stocked with frosting LOL my son used to open them and just eat the frosting out the can, I use box cakes myself from time to time too, but I put my own little twist on them LOL Love your videos please continue to share and be blessed
Looks soo delicious! I'd like a slice with 2 scoops of icecream too lol! The temps were in the -15 to -17 degrees here in Illinois. It has "warmed up a bit" to -1! The polar vortex threw us for a loop! Stay warm and toasty in this freezing weather!
I watched a video earlier on how to make your boxed cakes taste like homemade. They say to substitute milk for the water. Substitute melted butter for the oil. Add one extra egg. If you ask me, that cake was screaming for some fresh strawberries chopped up and added to the mix. Frozen if you cant find fresh. Oh yeah! Add in a cup of yogurt or sour cream for extra moistness. I bet some strawberry yogurt would be delish.
Hi Gina! It's 63 degrees down here in Montgomery, AL! I'm from Milwaukee, so I remember those snow days as a child. It was so fun to get to stay home and put our snow mobile suits, moon boots, hats and gloves on and go make snow angels, ride snow mobiles, skate on the pool with our shoes on!

I love strawberry cake. I sub apple sauce for oil and turns out great. ( less calories) I also use the buttercream frosting because strawberry frosting is to much strawberry. Its 9 degrees here and extremely cold. The cake looks scrumptious. I know you and your family will enjoy that cake. I sure wish I could have a slice with some ice cream😍 Nice job Gina. 💕
Looks good Gina! Usually when I make a box Strawberry or Orange cake mix, I add a small box of Strawberry or Orange jello. A little bit different from the box as I use 2 eggs, 1/4c. Oil, & 1 1/4 cup milk or water. (I always use milk) bake @ 325 degrees. Have you ever tried that? As it's Very Cold here in NC too! 😂

We are out of school Wed/Thur for record breaking freezing temps. I said Let's have a Baking Day! We could make Valentine cookie care packages! Then, my girl got a stomach ache, a head ache, chills and a fever! Just like that! I guess we're home with flu...so we're watching cooking shows together. I made her rice and homemade applesauce, but she won't eat. She's just drinking right now with Tylenol and her blanket. Even doing her e-learning assn is hard for two days! I might go out for popsicles or gatorade, in this freezing weather, believe that? Mom-life... ; ) Have a great day! Take care.
