@@lucasmacinhome Actually thats not entirely true. I get the folders like you showed but the folders are empty. Ive had two 1.5 hr discussions with Apple support but still not working. I'm actually using iCloud for Windows but shouldn't matter.
I'm new to apple. I have uploaded to icloud, but I don't have the same screens as you show in the beginning and don't have same menu items as you show. I see this on many vids for apple mac environment - lot of assumptions in the beginning as to what is showing and how it goes. lot of shortfalls for beginners - and I am not new to computers, computer languages, etc. Can't imagine how difficult this is to non computer people.

Great video! Thank you! Lately I've been having a big problem-i restore my iPhone every few months, and I set it up like new. After logging into my iCloud on the iPhone, either my Passwords & Accounts won't sync or they'll partially sync. I should have 160 items, as is shown on my iPad and older iPhones. I've exhausted troubleshooting methods, like the device's Erase All Content and Settings X2, and signing out/back in to my iCloud account (done these before, it has helped, but today is not :(...)
My iCloud drive is very slow on my mac, what should I do to fix it thanks! Remark: I tried restarting my mac and tested for my Ethernet speed, it’s around 650 Mbps.
I have no idea how to do iCloud Drive stuff on a PC... I'm a Mac guy. If it's not syncing it probably needs some troubleshooting or configuration! - Lucas
QUESTION: Any Idea why my Apple Notes are not Sync from my iPhone and iPad to the Cloud, but my Apple notes on my Mac is. Note I am login to the same Apple ID. I just can get notes to sync to and from the iPhone and iPad. The only sync is from iCloud to my MacBook.

I’m trying to sync from Windows PC to MacBook Pro via iCloud Drive for PC. Two out of the 7 files have sync’d over and the balance just have the two arrowed circle saying Sync Pending. It’s been about 20mts now. How do I check what’s the issue? I need them quick as well ... any thoughts? Thanks
I'm having the same issue. I modified a file (on my iCloud Drive) from my PC and the changes haven't synced up. I'm still seeing the previous version on my MacBook and in Files on iPhone.
@@denhamk I agree. I had about 20GB worth of data to download to my Windows PC. It took several days (being an 8 year old device with a limited Network Interface Card) but I got all my data synced up eventually. This is for anyone out there who might be experiencing the same thing.
GRAB app doesn't work. The only thing I have in my iDrive is an empty GRAB folder. No other folders. It just stopped working a few weeks ago... no screen shot. No shutter sound. I don't use a smart phone. Only the iMAC. I've restarted the computer. Nothing. Thoughts?
For some reason when I go to turn on documents/desktop sync via my ID I can tick it but it doesn't remain ticked when I close and reopen. Therefore not syncing anything. Any ideas?

Hey!! I have a problem syncing my files to my iCloud drive. The status kept saying 'Waiting' but the status bar doesn't show the progress of the syncing process. (it only said how many GB available) I'm soo frustrated. I also tried opening the System Preference > iCloud > iCloud Drive Options > to make sure that the Desktop and Documents option is ticked, HOWEVER, I dont find any "Desktop and Documents" option in it. Help!! what should i do??? 😩😩
First thing I would try is restarting the Mac... just the regular Apple menu -> Restart. Next I would look at which OS you're running and possibly update to a later OS. When you have iCloud turned on, and iCloud Drive with Desktop and Documents syncing, then it should all work fine and normally, and there aren't any extra settings beyond that. I'm happy to have a look if you like - I'm sure I could help you get to the bottom of it. With iCloud you can't fully remove the file from your Mac (ie. make it disappear) and still have it in the cloud. But if you are on macOS Big Sur or later you can right click a file and "remove download" which will keep the file pointer on the Mac but remove the actual file so it's only in iCloud. This saves the space on your Mac.
@@lucasmacinhome Thanks ... I recently upgraded to Big Sur but I will try that out. The user interface for OneDrive is very friendly and has an option to keep a file in the cloud or on the machine. I wish iCloud could have an app or program interface to manage files like in OneDrive.
I discovered earlier today 2/6/20 that when I updated to the latest MacOS near the end of Jan. 2020, the Documents folder on my Mac disappeared (about 1.7gb of data) it also no longer appeared on iCloud,com website. In addition the folder did NOT appear in the Recently Deleted folder on the iCloud website. Since I use Time Machine I was able to restore the files when I went back a week or so on Time Machine but I'd like to know why making a minor update to the latest version of MacOS (10.15.3 from 10.15.2) should cause this to happen?
Mike, I would want to see that and check a few things... I have not seen iCloud just arbitrarily delete something so I would check the basics first. Maybe you have more than one iCloud account, or some other file/folder/sync issue. Let me know if you want a hand double checking all that.
@@lucasmacinhome Thanks for your response. I only have one iCloud account and this problem was reviewed by an Apple rep when I called them (the 800 number) and they got on my MacBook Pro and looked for the folder as well. I mentioned I had a Time Machine backup and they helped me locate the Document folder on the Time Machine and restore it. The files are back but from now on every time I update systems I'll be making certain that particular folder hasn't disappeared. I've never had that happen in 25 years using either Windows or MacOS and still don't know how it happened. I also pay to have Sugarsync backup everything on my MacBook and they also retain the Documents folder (but it was in their trash because it was no longer on the Mac) so I could have downloaded it from there if Time Machine somehow didn't have it.
