Im planning a trip to Japan, any tip on how to change between time zones? For example I’m having trouble setting the Day at Disney from 9am-9pm on the 21st of October because it automatically moves it from 6pm the 20th to 9pm the 21st if I put the Japan time zone
I can help with this if you want a hand but in the calendar app if you go into settings and then advanced, you’ll see time zone support as an option. Turn that on. Then in the main calendar window, in the top right, you can add the other cities and switch between them. It makes it way easier to add something as you’re talking about. You can add it in the daytime while you have whatever city in Japan selected.
very helpful; however my iPad is old and I get several prompts that there isn't enough storarge...Hoping that it will still sync to my iPhone SE and my MacBookPro. 🤞

Oops! I didn't format my external hard drive before I started transferring photos from iMac. Is that a problem?? It does say for Mac only on the Passport box. Can you tell this is my first time? 😊 Also, I'm having to create folders (by year) on the ext then select all photos by year on the iMac to copy. It seems I am doing this at a snails pace but HA I only have 4 yrs left! TIA!!
If you get info on the hard drive I bet the format is macOS extended journaled. When you get the my passport for Mac that’s the format they use. So I think you’re all good! But I would want to know why you’re moving precious photos onto a fallible hard drive… will you be making a second copy of those photos as well?

I was actually doing this for a friend and I told her to keep it in the plastic covering with the box and warned her not to drop it...because of what you said! 😉 I'm pretty sure you are correct that it formatted already as it was for MAC ios only. She is traveling and putting her computer in storage so she wanted to have the pics on the hard drive to be able to sort them latee while she's at a relative's house. Thank you for your help!
Ok I did all that on my iPhone (iPhone 13 mini) and on my new mac mini (actually all of it was already done) and it didn't work. I am able to use both the mini and the phone and my iPad for that matter most of the time when corresponding with actual people, whom I assume are using iPhones to send and receive but maybe not who knows, but anything automated it seems (I have a vague memory of stuff coming through sporadically on my old laptop) doesn't work which is really annoying as I have 2 factor authentication on almost all my accounts, so I have to go find the iPhone and manually enter the code. I recently migrated rom a laptop to a desktop, and the 2 factor codes appeared on the laptop most but not all of the time. Which means on the laptop I was able to just click on "fill code from messages" and it's easy that way. Another thing I have noticed, none of the messages sent by political campaigns get to my desktop, although there's plenty that get to my iPhone. Some of them get to the iPad and some don't. Personally my opinion is those girl geniuses over at Apple are constantly mucking with everything grrrrrrrr...
I have a similar problem. Updated my iPhone 13 and MacBook Pro a few days ago and now iMessages are no longer synching. The video here was only semi-helpful, but Apple "mucked" around with the way the menu is set up. I just don't understand why each update has to change the menu set-up, job security for someone I imagine, certainly not a customer focused effort!
I just have one problem. I have all my texts on my Imac but the photos are not there. It's just empty squares. I try to change my profile picture and in imessage in my imac and it says unable to Load Photos. To view and select photos, update your photo library. I thought I updated on both. the imac says everything has been currently updated.
I have spilled water on my Macbook pro half an hour ago and within 5 mins screen went off. I had also tried air dryer and plug/unplug charger which I should not. Laptop is placed upside down now. Little bit of hopes left now, will give you an update soon.
This is logical but today Teams would access my microphone, but not camera. So, I followed directions and, under Camera, Teams wasn't in the applications list. So, now I'm stumped as to what I should do if Teams isn't there to choose from...
