My father died when I was four and watching your videos and how you make an effort to everyone who doesn't have a dad on their everyday makes me sob, I'm thankful that you exist 💗
Dad I remember finding you a few years ago back before you were hugged by Imgur and you only had a couple of thousand subscribers, just wanted to say that I'm so happy for you to see you grow so big and continue being awesome.
My dad died 3 months before i was born youre content just helps me a lot i get bullied sometimes and people make fatherless jokes but as i started watching you i didnt feel ashamed for being fatherless, all i can say its Thank you
Dad, I’m a 59 year old man. My Dad is fortunately still with me. He has taught me a lot. I still follow you because you are so inspiring! I am an Eagle Scout, and I still feel you are able to teach me. People hurt for many different reasons, and you provide guidance, innocence and compassion. I thank you for that. It seems that you have taken great care of your family after a rough go of it. I’m proud of you Dad, and I am thankful you are in my life. B
My dad died 3 months ago. I’m still a minor and I now have to grow up without a father. You legit made me cry. My father abused me and never was there for me. Then right when he started to get better after over 8 years of abuse. He died. That message at the end. You have no idea how much that means to people like me. Thank you. And I mean it. Thank you so much.
My father abandoned us when I was 14 too. Now I'm 32, and when I look back.. Damn how can I survive until now. I'm eating my donut for brunch right now while my eyes got teary. I hope I can learn so much from your channel that I just found today. Thank you, sir.
I came on here to distract myself and see how this amazing man helps others. I never knew he'd be helping me. I was watching this while crying over something I'm going through and then those beautiful, unexpected, words at the end helped lift up the heaviness a little and I managed a smile. Thank you ❤️ God bless you
Loved to see wiping the cans first as many people don't know to do this. Also, always into having a rice cooker lol. When using liquid measures, the cup needs to be kept on a flat surface, and then you need to bend down so the cup is at eye level to read the measurement. For this recipe, it's not so important, but people should know this for baking where it's critical to have correct measurements.
Thank you for making this channel. My father was never around, at 26 I got a call saying he was dying from lung cancer. Once I arrived he wasn't able to speak so we sat on the back deck together for an hour watching the wind blow through the grass and a dog playing. Just being in each other's company. On the way home we got a call from my half sister, he passed away once I left. Your videos help. Thank you
Thank you I needed this. My dad abandoned me and my mom when I was born so I never had a father figure in my life. But I’ve had my moms boyfriends but they ended up being rude and hurtful towards her and I. But everything you do for the kids who’ve been abounded or lost their fathers in early stages of their life is absolutely amazing. I strive to be like you and comfort those who don’t have what others have.
Thank you for adding such an important channel for children , I applaud you sir. I’m a grown woman and am enjoying your videos . God bless you ,I wonder how my life would have been ,with a man like you as a father and role model. ❤❤❤
I am from Vietnam, your story has spread to my country. My father died of cancer when I was 12 years old. Thank you very much, your videos have given me many useful and happy things.
I hope you know how much the encouragement is needed. Such a scary, depressing world we live in and you make it better. I wish we could bottle your energy and force feed it to the world. I particularly needed that pep talk. Ty . Great video and looks delicious. I'm a firm believer in pineapple should not be cooked! Lol I'll leave that part out. You're amazing and your videos are appreciated. You are loved and appreciated ❤️
I love how simple you make everything seem. I struggle with a variety of mental health issues that have negatively affected my eating habits. This recipe makes me hopeful that I can get back to cooking and feeding myself normally again.
My Dad told me as a kid that I can always rely on the 6 month rule. He'd say, "6 months from now, you'll have a whole new pile of crap to deal with that may make what you are dealing with now look good". Lol. Might sound harsh, but it is True!! Thanx for the recipe :)
When I was 8 years old, I woke up to my step mother screaming that my father wouldn't wake up. For 4 long years afterwards, he was in a coma till he passed away. I just found out about your channel, and I feel like crying. It's been hard, even doing something as basic as shaving. I'm gonna be using your videos to try and become someone that can make dad jokes, and fill the role of a father I didn't have a chance to have. So wherever my father is now, he won't have to worry about leaving me behind. That'll I'll be okay. Thank you, genuinely, for doing this.
I don't really have anyone to say this to, so I'm saying this to you dad. After graduation, I had nothing in my bank account, not a penny. So, I got into the first job that I could find, which was at a call center. TIt was gruelling, long hours, extremely low pay. I was barely getting by. My mental health had taken a turn for the worse. So, I switched jobs, but it was the same there as well. But I stuck to it. Your channel helped me out a LOT. Now that I finally have some money to my name, I quit my job, and am now preparing for grad school. I found a few freelancing jobs, that I will do to keep me afloat for the time being. I am really excited to go back to college, after a couple of really dark years. I just wanted to share this with you. Thanks for everything dad.
Hey, I just wanted to say how amazing you are, thank God I still have my dad, but even so, I heard about your channel (even though I'm Brazilian) I took a look and realized what a good person you are! Your heart is so big that kindness has come to my country (Brazil) and I would like to thank you on behalf of so many people that you have helped!
I love the little smile you give after displaying something to the camera ❤ I can tell you feel a little uncomfortable but you're so happy to be helping out and trying to be inviting It's so sweet and wholesome, so greatfull for your presence on this platform and choosing to pass on your knowledge and experience ❤ Thanks for being the dad to teach me to cook and all the other little things I should know
I haven't had sweet and sour meatballs since high school. Those look yummy! Also, I love your commentary about the highs and lows of life...what you said is so true. My gramma used to say life is like the (New England) weather...if you don't like it, just wait a minute. ❤
Loved the dad joke! Im going to make this with my mom and sisters when I go back home for spring break along with your salmon recipe. Thanks for all the videos! God bless
hey dad, from my own experiment, its better to put the frozen meatballs on the oven for like 10-15min at 375F while the sauce is being made. then combine it all when ready.
Here's the recipe (made by chatgpt, lol): Sweet and Sour Meatballs Ingredients: 2 cups pineapple juice 1/2 cup rice vinegar 1/4 cup ketchup 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 package frozen home style meatballs 1 red pepper 1 green pepper Instructions: 1. Drain the juice into a pot, leaving some aside in the can. 2. Add the vinegar, ketchup and soy sauce to the pot. Bring the mixture to a boil. 3. In a separate bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with some of the pineapple juice that was left in the can. Whisk the mixture until there are no chunks. 4. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the pot and stir until the sauce thickens. 5. Add the frozen meatballs to the pot and reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let the meatballs simmer for about 10 minutes. 6. Cut the red and green peppers into slices and add them to the pot. Stir and let simmer for another 10 minutes. 7. Finally, add the pineapple and stir. Let the mixture simmer for another 5 minutes or until the pineapple is heated. Enjoy your Sweet and Sour Meatballs!

My father needs to step up. The best he can do is “Do you know how much money I spent on you while your grandparents were raising you?” Or “Well, you didn’t call me on my birthday. Why should I call you on yours?”
The chances of your dad doing that are not zero, but I’d say they were pretty low. I’m sorry. Some people are just like that. If it’s any (?) consolation, as you get older it’s easier to get some perspective on them. It wasn’t until I was in my 50’s that I really came to terms with my own Dad. It makes me sad but I understand more about people in general. It’s not easy, is it.
In the written recipe you happened to leave out the Tbsp. of soy sauce. This all looks good though. In an interesting way your comments about the ups and downs of life match up with the idea of sweet and sour tastes in the sauce.
how do you clean grease splatter off the wall above the stove? I see you have tile so it's probably easy but I just have painted walls and I can't seem to get it clean!
