How long do you let each layer cure? I’m worried that leaving the flowers partially exposed will reintroduce too much moisture (I live in a very humid area)
Hello... Beautiful job! I'm curious what you did with the edges after the tape was off.... Looked like there were so.e jagged edges that could've used some sanding. Thank you!
Have you done anything similar but for wall hanging? I love this idea but I think it would be amazing to see something done for a wall - I love those old vintage antique bubble frames. This gives me those vibes ❤ love your work. Also how long do they need to dry in between layers
Don't the flowers lose their color? How do you preserve it? I put some fern leaves in resin and they turned brown. I dried them in silica gel for a week until they were really dry.
Very nice!! Is the top coat a special epoxy that's more water resistant than the rest? I'm new to epoxy, about to use only a 2nd time, but also want to make my top extremely water proof since it will be a bathroom vanity top. Thanks!
I really love this video! Just a quick question: is it ok to use artificial (plastic) flowers? And which flowers did you use? I love the colors and shapes!
So glad I purchased several of these little tables a couple of years ago for a similar use someday. This is really lovely. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Beautiful piece, this is lovely. I wish you had shown us a side version of the finished product. I swore there was no way the end result would be flat with all those flowers. 😊 Don't forget your gloves when handling silica beads, they are so dangerous. Your work is always amazing. I'm😊such a fan ❤
I would like to know this to I want to tell you make my old wood kitchen table and was wondering if I had a form on top is I could do a casting pour with flowers ?
They are CARNATIONS, YOU GET ALL WHITE, LIGHT PINK, PURPLE. YOU ALSO GET ONES FOR YOUR GARDEN, 2 TYPE'S THE OTHER KIND ARE CALLED PINKS AS THEY ARE TINY LITTLE ONES BUT AGAIN ANY COLOUR, BUT WHERE YOU LIVE YOU MAY CALL THE FLOWER SOMETHING DIFFERENT ❤
Hi there! In the process of making this table and coming out beautifully so far! The only problem is my flowers got taller than the mold :( do you have any ideas or solutions?? Should i move what I have to a larger and higher mold?
That's beautiful. I have a table like that, The holes are for drainage since it's an outdoor table. Those holes on your masterpiece are now useless since it can't hold water anymore. You may have extended the life of the table if it's used outdoors too. Thank you for sharing this.
Sorry, it’s the first video of epoxy work that I’m watching. What is the “A” and “B” that you mention at the beginning? What are the proportions? I really love your piece.
Does each layer have the same amount of black or did you decrease on your second and third layer? Looks beautiful and I'm attempting this myself today!
This is amazing! i have a doubt though... so ive got these snowflake like formations spreading under my resin floral table but right above the wood base... any idea what or how to get rid of those?
Hi Sheri. I watched your video and am very impressed with how you prepare and make a resin table top with real flowers. Would you be able to make a couple of average size resin panels with fresh flowers to sell to me ?
How many hours do you wait in between each layer please? Also how do you get the air bubbles away. It ruins the art. Your videos are great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about that.
Question- it didn’t look as though you used any resistance on the tray such as Vaseline? I have a similar, rigid tray I always wanted to use resin with but thought I would need a resistant to prevent the resin from curing to the tray( since mine is rigid) ? I have used concrete in my tray but did use Vaseline on the bottom and the sides. Is your ikea tray flexible enough it doesn’t need a coating before adding the resin? Thanks
I have a problem . I measure my resin and stir it for a long time. But still some will harden and some won't. I did a clock and hair clips. The clips are rock hard but the clock is bendable. What am I doing wrong ? I love your table and I would love to make it but I don't want to waste that much resin or flowers
What is the best resin to use if I’m trying to cast silk flowers in a 4 inch sphere mold? I’ve tried doing the resin in layers, as you suggested, but even after waiting four hours, as soon as I pour the next layer of resin, the flowers slowly rise to the top. I feel like it’s the wrong resin for a sphere mold. Can you give me any advice? Thank you!
sorry for all the comments but when are u going to do the how to with jesemite ect? i want to see what molds are the best ect.i want to do some candle molds and incense stick molds. and some keychain letter molds. Would it be safe to burn incense or candles after u have sealed them?
I dried some leaves from a flower arrangement in silica crystals, they were green, then turned yellow after the second thin pour. Do you think I didn’t dry them long enough, or maybe the leaves itself?
It can be both. Some plants just don’t go great in resin. If you are working with a new plant or flower test it out 1st and see if it changes. I’ve noticed some purple flowers can go green in resin
