These biscuits are such a delicious treat and easy to store in the freezer for later. My favourite way to eat them is with a fried egg and bacon. I'm moving soon so I didn't have my tripod to film-sorry for any shaky camera work. Ingredients and instructions below.
Ingredients:
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1-2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup frozen butter (I used salted butter)
• 3/4 cup milk or cream (I used 10% coffee cream)
• 1 teaspoon white vinegar (can substitute with lemon juice)
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir together.
2. Cut frozen butter into small pieces. Use hands to quickly mix into dry ingredients until all the butter pieces are covered.
3. In a separate bowl or measuring cup, mix milk or cream with white vinegar. You can substitute the vinegar with lemon juice. Add to dry ingredients and stir until it comes together.
4. To make your biscuits flaky, roll the dough into a big thin layer, then fold it over a few times. I do this process twice.
5. Now prepare the dough to cut out. Roll it out to about 1/4-1/2 inch thickness. Then use a round cookie cutter or glass cup to cut out your biscuits. Repeat step 4 until you're dough runs out.
6. Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes.
