Hi crafters!
Today I will be going over how to make a DIY teacher coaster using a silicone mold with a glitter background color. My DIY teacher coaster was previously made back in August and this video is more of a recap on what I would do differently and in more detail!
🚨Please be careful when working with resin use gloves and a respirator to protect yourself!
These DIY coaster molds are PERFECT for back to school/teacher appreciation gifts
Materials:
✨Glitter
✨Silicone mold:

size of font is roughly around 4in wide

I’m going to try this for my seniors teachers this year, you could always get some of them erasers that are like rectangle and more flat. I know it might take a little more room, but that may be a solution.

I’ve seen people put the resin down first and wait a day then put the objects in pour resin wait another day and top off but I think your way is less time but I was just worried about the resins not being fully covered at the bottom when adding in the items right after

love coasters. We are following your your tube to make some. The one with purple crayon, crayon melted or bleed. Can this be fixed, are using purple crayons a "no, no"?

@@GlitterBUYMamaBossLLC hey so I’m hoping you can help offer some advice… when I did mine the paper from crayon and (I guess the paint from) the little clothes pin both bled and just made it hazy around them.:. Did I do something wrong?? 😩😩😩

What brand of epoxy did you use ! I dint know what mine is but it’s table too epoxy so I think it’s quick set .

Love this! How long do you let dry between each layer? Where do you buy the epoxy? Do you mix the epoxy with any other liquid? Thank you

If I want to work fast I let them harden about 4 hours in between the first layers and final layer is 24 hours I use the counter culture diy resin that is listed in the description :)

Did you have to use deep pour ? I’m gonna buy some . I want to make some for my grandsons teachers .

I used medium viscosity from counter culture diy it should be tagged in the description with the exact product I used :) i have never tried deep pour I don’t think these are deep enough for that type of resin
