I'm a mix of Ga and Fante and had no idea about Fante dishes as I grew up my in La with my Ga family. But I have to learn about my Fante heritage also, especially where tasty dishes are concerned.

@@AmbitiousPanda739 it went with fante kenkey or Fante Banku,( I didnt like the latter) at all I prefered the texture of VR Banku. It also did well with hot water garri AKA eba. I myself ate it with soft boiled cassava which would soak up the nice-ness (no such word). It can go with Ga kenkey,garri, thicken it a bit and it goes with ampesi, give it a twist with sliced onoins and a nice story will be told on your palette.

We have different types of fisherman soup or fisherman stew in USA. I got into conflict online once bcos I call egusi stew. Nowadays in USA we use the words soup & stew interchangeable . Who taught you an authentic fante, fante is prepared this way? It is a tipical Cape Coast dish and not prepared this way. First, we use those small fish got from the dragged nets called (twuyi nam). But if you want to use medium or big fish such as barracuda, croacker, salmon or any other fish, use them separately and we don't box them up. For example, we don't combined tilapia and salmon together to make fante, fante neither do we put fresh onions and peppers on top. Like your cooking but as caterers, you can add an ingredient, the method of cooking and find a name for your created dish. It may be similar to fante, fante but your choice of ingredients can give your dish a different name. Don't change the style/method/process/type of ingredients for the authentic fante, fante.
