To Marinade Fish
5 - Red Snapper
1tsp - All Purpose Seasoning or Seasoning of your choice - tt
1/2tsp - Ground Anise or tt
Salt - tt
To Make Gravy
2 - Large Onions Sliced
Then Blend Together
1 - Medium to Large Onion
1 - Habanero or Scotch Bonnet Pepper
Fried Onions from fish
10 - Fresh Tomatoes Cut or Blend
1 can - Tomato Paste
1tbsp - Shrimp Powder or tt
All Purpose Seasoning tt
1tsp - Rosemary for flavor
1/2tsp - Curry Powder or tt
Salt - tt

My grandmother would make this!! We called it tomato gravy. Sometimes she would fry chicken or fish, but she always made biscuits for the gravy. Thank you for sharing this recipe because I want to share this dish with my nieces and nephews!

Funny how now matter how many times I've watched your videos, I still watch it all over again. Maybe it's your voice, your accent, uhm I don't know but I just always enjoy watching your videos. And yeah, I tried out this recipe for hubby's birthday some months ago. I must confess, it was absolutely delicious and he loved it so much (used croacker fish tho). Also, that thing about frying the onions and entire gravy for long, yes it really makes the difference! That's been my new way of making my stews - no rush, and long frying of the onions initially. And my stews have really taken a twist for an awesome taste. Thanks sweet Adjeley ❤❤❤

I love your videos . . . I visited Ghana in June and loved it. I normally cook stew food (Caribbean-style), but this looks good. I will be trying this very soon with some nice red snapper also. Happy Mother's day Sweet. hmm, i love the combination of the red and white onion, I've realised they give distinct taste and aroma. Fragrancing the oil with onion is awesome. Hmm the touch of chopped pepper and onions moves the game into levels. Completion with Ga kenkey, just Superb.
