Showing you how to make the best diy isolation feet.
Using honeycomb paper packaging, 4mm plywood, 20mm oak on end grain & 8mm balsa wood on end grain & finally pva glue.
These can be made to any size, but not too small, 40mm square should be the smallest.
In performance, you should hear a clearer cleaner sound, less mudded.
Try making these, you will be surprised!!!
Happy building 😁

Looking good Ian. Although I do worry about you breathing all that dust in. I’m sure you must have one but please use a dust extractor.😊

I do usually wear one, but you wouldn't have been able to hear me, with one on, thanks for commenting & watching 👍

How do they compare to the oak cone feet ? Nice informative video 👍👍😁

Hello Tony, I would say, they make the sound, sound cleaner & clearer, Less mudded, than the oak cones, because the honeycomb paper, helps to absorb vibration better than just the oak, the oak is just a decoupler & doesn't absorb vibration, these do both, absorb & decouple, I hope that helps👍

Would have achieved the same result and saved time and money on just making solid wooden pyramids.

Beautiful job! But I consider acoustic feet along with putting sand in speaker stand just more snake oil tricks until someone proves me wrong. But again very nice job!

Maybe you should try making some only you can hear the difference on your system .

All I can say is, you need to build a set & you'll be surprised, there's lots of poor support out there, but when you get a good one, it does make a difference, thanks for commenting & watching it's much appreciated 👍

If I take the aggregate out of my Target speaker stands the sound terrible so it definitely is beneficial.

@@andrewlittleboy8532 I agree, same with my Bowers & Wilkins Stav 24 stands.

Well, I don’t mind experimenting with “snake oil” as sometimes I provide my own proof it’s wrong with my ears and my system.
