Yes man, white British here went and bought some salt fish and some akee and have just made it for the first time! I love Jamaica I love its relationship with plants herbs food nature and god they have always known it’s all connected… this recipe tastes amazing ahh I love it thank you

I am blessed to have 2 ackee trees in my yard and have been eating & sharing a lot lately 😊 There is a special someone (Jerome) you know very well who has been cooking his recipe here while taking a break from working on the house beside my place. It also helps that we are in the same location 😚 I usually use Cawood saltfish, but it's not as good as it used to be. Which brand did you use in this video? It looks better than the one I get. Also your ackee is nice and chunky, which tin brand is that? I understand that tin can never compare with fresh ackee, but the one in your video looks lovely and not in broken pieces. Your most welcome,glad to hear that🙏🏾 I don’t remember the brand of the salt fish I used it’s really thick in size… your absolutely right it really is chunky i was surprised I try my best not to mix it too much so it doesn’t marsh out, the Ackee I used call Dee Caribbean Ackee it’s very good brand, thanks so much for watching. I didn’t know ackee was banned from the U.S from toxicity from the fresh ackee . Looks good though could I just use eggs instead ? Since the flavor is supposed to be similar ?
