When I mean this recipe is perfect, it is perfect 👌🏾 I've been baking for over 20 years and have used two recipes for my black cake but they use a lot of fruit. I thought I'd give your recipe a try and I am sold girl...👌🏾 Baked it yesterday afternoon and cut it just now and my mouth is still watering from the taste and texture 🤤 I'll be using your recipe going forward and have 6 cakes to make by Sunday 😲
So an update on the rest of the cakes that I had to bake... they all came out perfectly. I had a few different sizes to bake and adjusted the amounts as best I could. Which shows how forgiving your recipe is as I had to convert to grams which I use as I'm UK 🇬🇧 based. I had a great response from everyone that received a fruit cake from me using Jamaican Vibes recipe. Very happy baker. Thank you for your commitment to providing us with your recipes 💯

Speaking of rum, Jamaican rum that is, I had a funny and scary experience with a bottle I brought back from one of our trips. I had no clue it was 150 proof as I poured a bunch into a glass of Coke. I was cleaning the house and had two glasses in the span of an hour. Don’t remember anything after the second glass and if my husband hadn’t come home, I would’ve set the house on fire because of the food cooking on the stove. That was some potent stuff. 😀
LOOOOL 😂😂😂😂😂 Something similar happened to me in May of this year. I had wayyy too many shots (7) mixed with sweet lemonade and within 25 mins I felt as if I was walking on water. Everything sounded much louder and I was staggering until I had an intense urge to lie down, not remembering that I was cooking beef stew! Well… let’s just say in 35 mins I was very close to being homeless! The entire stove and pot turned to charcoal. I was so drunk I didn’t remember about the pot until I saw thick smoke coming from downstairs and an awful burning smell 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’ll never drink Wray and Nephew white rum ever again

@@paulinestewart552 baking it on that low heat.. it's going to be flat like pudding..mine cake out perfectly.. because I bake it at 340 and add a container with water 💦 on the bottom rack.. for 1:50-2hrs..but each bake differently.. thanks for watching 💖

@@chinitybrown8477 1 hr & 50mins .. at that time insert a que stick or a knife in the middle..if it comes out clean it's done..if not put it back for the 10 mins..👍
