I just bought myself an Octave pedal. Got the MXR vintage Bass octave. It's so sick. Get a proper subby, deep sound out of it. & putting the Bass Big Muff after it stuff gets hectic... The 2 Octave down is basically unusable, but the 1 octave, and either blending the dry signal in or turning the dry to zero and u just have the Sub sound. It's so fun...Your neighbours will hate it though.
Nice. I also asked for this on one of your latest video's. A P bass is always a good way to go. I use one with flatwounds. Picking it with your fingers near the highest fret will give it an even more sub-bassy, almost upright bass kinda sound

Thanks for these tips, i'm sure these will help a lot of ppl. You should also mention the Ample P Bass lite, it's free, and sounding delicious. About the mixing process, I don't cut too much highs ( laptop gang, this one is for you ), Bass has tons of sweet harmonics. Of course, it takes time to EQ, but a dynamic EQ is helping. And if you really want these low frequencies, go for a 5 string because that B string is so sweet ! Cheers !
Thank you! Have you tried any of arturia"s stuff? Been enjoying the mini V. It has a nice bass sound for a synth! May have convinced me to pick up an actual bass though.
