Just as cute as a teeny, weeny, little button!!! This is just the project I need when I want to stitch something-but not a thing that will take hours to do....yet in the end, there will be this little beauty on the mat....finished!! Thanks, Leah, for sharing this little gem with us.
Great!! So happy you like them - and that she'll like them! -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Happy to see another excited beader!! :-) Have fun making them!! -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
I really love this bezel! It's so easy and quick to do and the chatons look lovely and cute. I'm thinking of linking them together to make a bracelet (not sure how yet), and then have a pair of earrings and a pendant to match. Thank you for sharing your design. Your videos are so clear, with close ups and your explanations. I've just joined your Facebook too! Take care, Lx
In addition to being a really great tutorial, I must also compliment your beautiful voice, Leah. If you ever get out of beading, go to work at Audible, you will make a fortune. Dang it, now I gotta get some 2mm Swarovski pearls.
It's certainly possible, Vivian!! It's just the math (bead count) that has to be fudged...but the technique itself would work...might be trickier on something as small as a 6mm though... -Leah
First time I've watched one of your videos. Very nice presentation!!! I love getting a new way to bezel a chaton to add to my bag of tricks! I also bezel 8mm rivolis which have less depth than chatons. I think this will work if I reduce the arms by one rivoli. I'll give it a try!!!
Welcome to the channel, Leslie! Glad you liked the video and bezeling method! Let me know if it works out for the 8mm Rivioli! :-) -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
I love this design! Thanks for your teaching style, I've learned so much from you Leah. Would it be possible to have a darker background mat for your videos? Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it. Just a thought.
Glad you're enjoying the videos, Chris!! And thanks for the feedback on the background - we'll consider that for sure!! :-) -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
They are soooooo versatile!!! They fit in nicely where you'd use a Toho 11/0 many times!!! -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Thank you! The round beads are 2mm round druk beads. Thanks for commenting, we realized we had the wrong link in the description, now it should lead you right to our website with all supplies listed under the video 💖
Why thank you, Francine!! Glad you enjoyed the video! -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Yes, as long as it is the same size and shape you can interchange them in any pattern, it doesn't matter if they are called druks, Pearls, rounds, or even marbles (as long as there is a hole through the center) it's all the same difference.
Hmm - I'm not sure if it would work exactly how it is for a flat back. It's possible - but it may not hold as tight. Give it a shot and let me know!! :-) -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
This is very similar to another video you did when you started at the bottom of the stone and used 11/0 and 15/0 I believe. Would you suggest one over the other in terms of keeping the stone safe or in ease of actually setting the stone? I love your videos!!
Thanks for the comment!! Hmm...this one shows off more of the stone, but I'd say the other setting is quicker and less expensive since it doesn't involve the pearls.... Hard to say - it's a toss up!! I do lean towards this one a little bit more to be honest... -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
Hi Leah, (my daughter’s name) I love this project since I seem to be failing at peyote bezeling. Anyway, do you think you would use 10 of each bead (pearl, delicas)for a 10 mm? I’m not good at figuring this stuff out! Thanks! Love your tutorials!
I haven't done this technique on a 10mm so I can't say for sure, Terry!! BUT, give it a try! Best case, it works!! Worst case, it doesn't and you have to try a different number. Let me know how it goes and if the adjusted number works for a 10mm stone! :-)
So I think I'm confused. You called the stitch you used to make the arms a square stitch. I thought square stitch looks like loom work and what you are doing is called ladder stitch. So what is ladder stitch and what is the stitch that looks like loom work called? Sorry, to be a pain. Just trying to get things straight in my head. BTW whatever it is called I LOVE these super cute delicate little pieces. I think they would make really cute little earrings too.
You can give it a try (and if it doesn't work out at least you won't have lost a large amount of time!) ...It's possible they will work, but they are technically different than Delicas so they may not 100% capture the Chaton the same way... Let me know!! -Leah Come join the fun! The Beader's Nook at Eureka Crystal Beads facebook.com/groups/319085948930672/
