How well do you think this sounds when you direct input it into a PA system with no other amp / preamp? I'm a little unclear on whether or not it has a true preamp onboard or not. Thanks
IT has complete amp and cab modeling. If you want to use the power section of your favorite amp, you can use the pre-amp model inside the POD Go and then send it out to the return of your amp. Hope that's what you were asking
I've been watching your vids ever since I got my Helix LT, and you are a magician at tone! Really brings up my tone game to another level with your advice!
Hey - so - I've been using your freeze hack and I have an improvement. Use Digital Swell as the delay, it always swells the volume in, and then the rest still behaves the same.
You have to go to global settings > Switches/Pedals > Stomp Mode > "4 Switches" ...if the left 2 switches say something else like "Preset" or "Bank" then long press both switches and it will scroll through until you see "Snapshot"
Hi. I bought a Pod Go. What kind of headphones do I need for the headphone input. I need a good pair to hear good so I can make presets that sound good 👍
I wonder if it can do the Ganymede trick also… with my stomp I often use Ganymede for infinite effects instead of the delay, because the Ganymede feels more like a infinite pad whereas with the simple delay you sometimes notice repeats in the trail.
Jimmy - I downloaded the 2.7 update for my Expanse Pack today. Great stuff. I decided to finally grab the Essentials Pack. Based on your setup, any idea which presets (Humbucker or Single Coil versions) in the Essentials Pack will work best with an American Pro Stratocaster with HSS ShawBucker pickups?
Awesome man! Thanks for the support. The Humbucker presets are going to be a little brighter than the single coils. So it’s really up to you. I’d start with the Humbucker and than if it’s too bright you can switch to the single coil. And it depends on which preset. Some presets are darker on purpose to get better, fuller sounds at louder levels and avoid any harshness. But if it’s too muddy there are some brighter presets in the mix. I tried to cover all the grounds
Hello there HWL! Just got the expanse pack 2.6 and loving the BLUES TM. May I ask what drive would you pair with it aside from using the EQ to push the amp.
I love using the Timmy (Tee-mah) because it compresses less and the tone cut controls are pretty great. It has a nice open overdrive which is what I like.
Great video, man! I followed along with you every step of the way and now have two great pre-sets that I love! One question: when you assign the delay feedback to the expression pedal, is there any way to make that pedal stop controlling the volume at the same time? I want the pedal to just control the feedback level and I can do the swells with the volume knob. Thanks!
I just started playing again after 25 years and picked up Taylor 214CE and a Fender Ultra Luxe and I only have a little Acoustic model Acoustic amp I think with a 12 inch speaker or something in it that Guitar Center sells. So was wondering about AMP, or processor. Being an engineer and very analytical I was leaning towards processor because wife wont want to hear amp at night when she is home and will require head phones. I dont really jam with anyone else, just working on my theory and stuff love all types of music. I wanted ability to plug into my PC and maybe record at some point. I was looking at three items: Boss Pocket GT Pocket Effects Processor, Boss GT-1 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal and lastly the line 6 POD. Am I on the right path with this thinking and is the Line 6 POD something that will do everything that I need or does it do to much perhaps for me now and I should get something cheaper and later see what is new on market at the time I am really getting into those more advanced things. I dont see how buying a second big amp to go into my office taking up room would be in that choice line up and some of those amps even with just two "12s" are like 2k anyway so not like saving money.
Superb video. One question though. Is the Pod Go enough? Love love love the sounds but reading a lot about how the signal chain is severely limited in terms of number of effects blocks. And hence considering the Boss GX100. I am into ambient and classic rock sounds. Any advice? Thanks!
Comparing the two, I’d recommend the pod go personally. I’ve tried both and the line 6 just sounds substantially better, despite it’s limitations. There’s plenty of ways to get around it
@@accentontheoff sorry about the late response, I gave it a shot and the pod go is definitely a winner in the recording category too. Using both usb and the main output to an audio interface it just sounds fantastic when you make some good patches
Jimmy - For the Helix Expanse Pack version, the Clean snapshot defaults to EXP 2. The other seven snapshots are set to EXP 1. Should the Clean also be set to EXP 1? Or is the Clean snapshot designed to be an easy "kill" switch snapshot?
