I'm so so excited to have my very first vegan Christmas feast, usually I just let my parents make a small separate dish for me (and the other vegetarian) but this year I'm going all out and I'm cooking everything for myself ! I feel like my family isn't super impressed with veganism because for family dinners they don't always think about us and we usually end up with a sad looking plate of side dishes that don't look like a full meal... so they don't really understand what/how vegans eat haha. I'm really excited to show them that it can be just as delicious and decadent !

I've gone Vegan this year too. I went vegan when they went away on their holibobs to Cornwall, they were back for two days before I moved to Glasgow, so I don't think they noticed. Not so worried about Xmas day, because I do the cooking, and frankly I just want my bodyweight in roasties and veg! More nervous about Xmas eve and the days afterwards tbh, so I really do need to tell them.

I thought I'd just let you know, I'm not completely vegan, and don't know if I ever will be 100%, but if I ever manage to make a full transition, it will be because of you. I really admire the lifestyle you try to maintain, and I like that promote healthy (not extremely restrictive) eating habits. You make it look normal and are so inclusive. Love it!

You can also make vegan gravy by making a roux with vegan butter, letting it brown, and then mixing with vegetable stock. & seasoning of course

What you made here looks soooooo delicious! 🤤 I’m not convinced the seasoning and especially adding sweet elements like the cranberries will make their non-vegan German taste buds happy but I’ll definitely save this video and try the recipes for myself, because they look too good not to 😂

Such a lovely spread! But what about the gravy?! Here in Sweden we eat a smorgasbord of different warm and cold foods for Christmas, but might eat something similar to “Christmas dinner” in the days after Christmas Eve (which is when we celebrate).

That looked very much like 1tsp of mixed spice going in when the caption said mixed herbs... which is it? Looks like a lovely nut roast recipe - my family's grinds the nuts and adds a layer of either tomato puree or cranberry sauce half way up to moisten it slightly.

Awwwwwww, your wee face at the end. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm catering for 2 meat eaters, a 9 year old vegetarian cheese fiend and me. I will do everything else from scratch apart from the star of the show, which i'm trialling over the next few days. The Sainsbury's nut roast is nothing special. Have the M&S one for tomorrow. I think i'm probably going to go for the Waitrose sausage thing. I don't like the look of the Pups In Blankets. May make the carrots in puff pastry. Decisions, decisions. Yes exactly! I probably wouldn’t do the cooking and just cook it on the day. Or cook for 30 minutes and do the final 15 on the day xx

Unfortunately, we cannot get chestnuts where I live. Could you please suggest possible substitutions for them? I was thinking of soaking almonds and using those, but I'm still on the fence. Thanks for all of your gorgeous videos! You are very inspiring.

I believe it is now a "No-No" for cutting a cross on the bottom of the sprouts. Water gets inside and makes them soggy. They cook perfectly well without the cuts. In fact, best roasted!
