my kid is long legged and a skinny. So if the shorts fit in the waist, they are too short in the leg. Or if they fit in length, they will fall off of her.
So how to make the waist smaller is an easy fix with minimal skill. I used a sewing machine with a back and forth straight stitch. I used the less than $1 package of elastic and fixed 4 pairs of shorts. This simple walmart hack makes buying shorts a breeze for my hard to fit kid.

We are now in the tiny house of life with under 800 square feet for 8 of us. Yep a large family in a tiny house. Yes a lot of kids well 6 of them as we homeschool too. I try to use public domain books that are really vintage textbooks. It gives us the feel of Charlotte Mason and Robinson Curriculum into our own feel.
