Thanks. Silk paints are in liquid form and transparent. Fabric paints in a paste form are easy to use. Yes, we can use ailk paints without gutta, but with sizing technique. Or it's just a practice to paint without gutta without using any chemicals but in a very limited way. That's the reason we have to use the gutta outline.

Yes, gutta is compulsory. Your colour will come out of the boundaries if you did not apply the gutta . You can buy pebeo seta silk or marabu sil paints from amazon

Apply the water on fabric 1st, then aplly the silk paint, or try to dilute colour in a few drops of water rather than apply on fabric. Try to understand the fabric. Try on rough fabric. 1st, if you are painting a new project, then start painting a large one.

Do not use carbon paper on fabric. Try to draw light with pencil on fabric.

Silk paints are for silk painting which are in liquid form and you have to apply the gutta for outline and then paint. Fabric paints are in paste form and that medium is for fabric painting and good for cotton or jeans type fabrics.

I used pebeo seta silk paints iron fixed. And ratio mentined in my my pined coment. Yes resist is a 2nd name . Gutta is water based or chemical based. You are very good and honest teacher pl tell me if u have to paint bigger plain background will the process will be same because in this piece leaves are helping to create a flat background without patches but if there is background with very little drawing and one wants to achieve the background colour without any patch so what is the procedure for that please reply thanks

There is no need to remove black gutta from fabric. If there is a miatake in your gutta application, in that case, you can not remove the gutta from fabric.

Hi ! I was wondering if Fabric paint can be used on silk . Can you achieve different tints with fabric color and medium on silk.? Will it turn out soft and blend the same way as silk paint?

Hi ! Fabric paints are in paste form and yes you can make tints in fabric paints too but with the mixing of white fabric paint because fabric paints are opaque not transparent. You cannot use fabric paints like silk paints . Both are different.

Iron the painted fabric 1st feom both sides If you are using iron fixed silk paints . There is no need to wash in the case of golden, silver, copper, or black gutta. Wash the fabric after ironing in case of transparent gutta. I have already given instructions in my almost all the videos you can watch any video. Steam the fabric if you are using silk dyes for silk painting.

Silk paints make a layer on the fabric and make the fabric a little stiff. Silk dyes absorb in the fibres of the fabric and become a part of fabric. Fabric doesn't lose its shine and softness.

All the silk paints(local or imported) make the fabric lil stiff. Add little amount of waterin the paint if you want to paint dark color. Or try to avoid to paint dark base
