Please add roasted black til seed's powder and roasted peanut powder in tofu recipe,then it gives protiens and calcium.

Beautiful and simple thanks dear sister for sharing this with us. I am in northern Nigerian and we do add a tea spoon of red oil (palm oil) to the pest in order to bring the foam down before straining. Pls try it next time and let me know how it works.Thanks

I made this..epic fail lol..my soy milk got too thick while boiling for some reason..and for some reason no matter how much lemon I added it never got separated. With the soy residue left, I made cutlet by mixing some onion, green chilli, cornstarch and shallow frying in pan..it was delicious. Although I don't know what to do with this thick sour tasting milk now! 😭

Let the milk boil properly first and add lemen after switching off the flame. Also don't mix vigorously. Just a gentle stir

May be the soy milk is diluted. It is why the tofu is not firm. Try to use less water and more soybean. And soak beans for at least 12 hours.

Indian way of making paneer can not be used for making tofu. This is totally different than to different than Chinese/Korean/Japanese tofu.

Hmm.....sorry but this tofu recipe is not good. When you add lemon juice as a coagulant, it makes the tofu look grainy and cannot stay intact while frying.

I think commercial tofu, they use calcium sulfate to coagulate the milk, not calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonste is chalk, not healthy. Calcium sulfate is not healthy either. Use lemon juice is the healthiest.

@@ninjaturtles12121 I know that in India, there are many farmers who don't take care of their cattles and give them injection to increase milk production but yet there many farmers who take care of their cattles like thier children at least we at our farm follow very traditional protocol of feeding calf which is good for calf and cow both and we never use any chemical or injection to increase milk production of cow

@@ninjaturtles12121 we celebrate a festival in Maharashtra where called pola where we admire cattle for their hard work feed them puran poli (sweet dish) All what I am saying is that drinking milf is oldest culture and if we don't harm them it's not bad rather it's good for both cow and calf

In India we have been brought up showing cow as a holy animal and other religious reasons. Whether it is love or cruelty, cow's milk is for it's baby. It is a biological product from it's pregnancy just like humans. If anyone can follow veganism or atleast think about it, it should be appreciated.

@@BNCSV You don't know anything first of all cow secretes more milf then required by calf so if you don't take out that excess milk manually then that milk will coagulate in her breast causing her health problems and if we let calf drink that whole milk then calf will get sick due to indigestion (I am talking about those cow which are used for dairy purpose only that breed). Second cow milk is closet to human mother milk i.e best substitute for Human being Yes there are many greedy people in India also who do some malpractices to increase their milk production but this people are less because mostly farmers in India consider cattle as thier family members. I am not against veganism if i visted western countries surely i will not take any milk product there because I know what is condition of cows there and I don't want to be part of that sin That it
