Thank you for making these videos. I love it how you guys are translating them to English. Could you make a video on the chilli oil. I would love to know how to make that.
Lae Soudarack yes we have ... please watch this video to learn how to make the chilli oil. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IiJmpo0KHIw.html Thanks for watching 💕
This version looks like Thai style version without Fermented fish called Pla Ra or Padek and black crab paste.. just like regular som tam I can find in thai eatery spots, ans looks Yummylicious and very refreshing for hot summer days... nice recipe for papaya salad btw.
Awesome! I definitely became addicted to Papaya Salad, and all Laotian food, when introduced like your friends! Haha Hope you guys are in the PNW and I run into y’all. Asking katie out!🤙🏽
Sao Lao here, quick sticky rice tip: if you forgot to soak your sticky rice (my mom taught me that) you can put a metal spoon in the water of the sticky rice (after rinsing) and let it soak for an hour then it will be ready to cook in the steamer basket. It does not leave a metallic taste.
I wish people acknowledging there own instead of keep using Thai or some other countries for their own food. Please tell the world who you are. Why don’t you just use “tum mak hoong, Mak pet , etc…
Do you know Thai been stealing many things from Lao to make it their own and including half of Lao. So please let the world know there are Lao chilly papers….stand up for Lao names…
I'm sorry but who taught you how to make this? One incorrect step is when you added the fish sauce. Leave that out until after you've pounded garlic, chilies, sugar and shrimp paste, then add it at same time as lime. This will ensure no splatter. 😊
your completely right ... Sabrina jumped the gun when adding the fish sauce ( She was hungry lol) but usually we do add it in with the lime ( you can see our directions written below the video) , good catch!
Please stop saying if you’re Laos or we’re Laos. Laos is a COUNTRY. Not an ethnicity. You are Laotian not Laos. It’s like saying I’m Thailand which is incorrect, I’m Thai.
lol We do realize that we slip every now and then with our grammar (not just with the word Laos vs. Lao ) we do understand the difference. Unfortunately we just aren't that grammatically correct or proper all the time, even when were speaking plain english, haha . Thanks for watching though , we will try to keep working on correcting ourselves =)
