Alright guys, I have a new tip. If you still have too many triangles, try adding a decimate modifier and it will be able to bring down the triangles even further without making it all blocky. I was frustrated because I couldn't bring down enough triangles but I preserved and got through. Guys I hope you all are having the best day you could :DDDD
For anyone who needs it: If you can't find the rig thing in plugin, don't worry, go to the "Avatar" button, and you should see another button saying "Rig builder Rig" Click that instead! ( it's the same thing )
i've started learning how to make hair and watched a speed model, they don't use a circle for the path to follow, they use a triangle which has a much lower vertex count making it look cleaner and avoids the clean up process at the end of this video, of course you can subdivide an edge and add more points if you feel like putting slightly more details in the triangle to make the triangle: use a plane, tab to edit mode, select the top vertexes and press m --> merge center, tab to go back to object mode, right click, convert to --> curve, you can squish the triangle by scaling it so it looks flatter and more like hair right click your hair strands and shade flat so you can see the edges clearer make sure in the curve settings of your hair strands you lower the resolution before converting to mesh so there's less vertexes, it might look low poly however you can right click shade auto smooth afterwards to make it appear higher quality
@@Et3rnal9ose add a circle make it 3 verticies and in the top left corner click object then convert and convert it to a curve then do what they do to make the path the triangle :D
for anyone that needs it, in order to rotate the view point of your screen, a mouse is recommended ( one you plug into your computer or a wireless one ). use the scrolling part of it and press down then move your mouse however you please to rotate the view of your screen. like, you can actually push down on the middle of your mouse, the part that scrolls!

For anyone who has too many Tris in their object, select the object and go into edit mode, select all the vertices by pressing the "A" key and press "X" key, select/click limited dissolve. And your problem should be solved.

How do I adjust the perspective so that I can somewhat accurately place my first hair strand in the middle? I've been struggling a lot with the perspective in this tutorial.
If you have a number pad on your keyboard you can use the numbers 1, 3, or 7 to lock to the x, y, or z axis. If you don't have a numpad you can just click a letter on the view selector near the top right of your layout screen (green red and blue +plus+ sign looking thing.) I hope this helps!

Hey! At 3:47 your circle has the square around it, mine just has four lines not connected as a square, therefore it doesn't let me make the hair shape the same as yours.. How do I fix that?

AUSTIN tiger's words, not mine: Make sure you are in object mode, click a strand of hair, then press shift and d. If you drag your mouse while pressing those, the strand should come out from the hair strand you copied :)

Hey, i have a question. I have created my firsr hair now. Im happy with it but it has over 559k triangles. Now the problem is when i go into edit mode there isnt a Mesh at the top so i can clean up. There would be curve or something. What can i do xD

That happened to me to but i think you just have to press "alt+s" or "option+s" On your keyboard instead of just "s". thats what worked for me, hope this helps! :D
I’m very new to blender, I was wondering, when you try to made straight cut bangs (that aren’t entirely flat), it leaves an open hole in the bottom of the strand. What should I do about this? I hope this wasn’t too confusing, thank you.
Hey, so if you want to turn the hair strand you just put your cursor on the hair strand then hold or press "L" then go on the rotate tool and rotate it however you want. Hope it helps! (Sorry for the really late reply😅)@@liebling7487
Personally, id otn recommend this. the verts are usually in the hundred thousands, and take a long time to getto under 10k and when you do you usually have to cut off a lot of hair. Planes are much quicker
Great tutorial!!! One thing though, when I put the texture, it doesn't show any of the texture. I have tried different hairs, but it doesn't work. I did everything exactly the same so I'm not sure what's wrong. If someone can help me that would be great, ty! Edit: I also don't have some of the buttons that you have (I don't have the preview or the icon to get rid of the lines)
the new roblox update has made it really hard because they made the way that you get roblox rigs different and there are so many options.I dont know which rig to choose tho

you can just import it in Roblox studio, and have it as a mesh If you want to sell it and stuff you need to be part of the UGC program, which i believe they are not accepting people at the moment
I just hate ugc messy hairs, they look all the same and they are overloading the catalog, also most of ppl who use them are the sad boys goths emos oders and slenders
@@thomazplays9305 if you can’t make hair that you like then don’t shame other peoples work just because you feel a certain way. the original hairs are still in the catalog too
