Hi everyone! It has been ages since I last uploaded a recipe video like this - months and months even! I hope you enjoy this comeback video, expect many more to come! Thursdays from now on will be foodie videos so get excited! All the recipes are linked in the description as usual xxx
Hi, Stupid question, but in your 1st recipe...are you using a food processor or blender? I am currently looking to get either for my kitchen Also I came across your channel a few weeks ago as I am trying to eat less meat (it is quite expensive!) and I randomly decided to buy Tofu and had no clue what to do with it till I saw your Tofu video from a few years ago! The other day I made your chickpeas potato daal....wonderful! Thanks and keep up the good work from a fellow British citizen in London!
Madeleine Olivia lovely video! What an adorable family with you Alex and Roxie cooking together laughing and making delicious food. I can’t wait to try these recipes!
So looking forward to more recipe videos!! Your food is always SO delicious. I cannot wait to try the broccoli soup! Also I just love your guys' editing style - "200g fancy mushrooms" had me rolling! I always love the bits of humor you include :)
I would have failed at the first hurdle. By which I mean cuddling Roxy. Any and all dirt on my late dog would have mysteriously transferred itself to me, if I were wearing white LOL
I thoroughly enjoyed the broccoli facts through the video, hope this stays for the rest of the series! Really enjoyed the video, would love a video on courgette!
Yeah I was like how did a broccoli grow from cabbage??? Sadly I heard though that vitamin C burns out of foods that are cooked that's why things like jam has no vitamin C or applesauce unless absorbic acid is added.
Obviously, it's not autumn or winter yet, but doing some of this series dedicated to winter veg would be great. I always try to eat in season as much as possible but I get very bored very quickly of eating cabbage when it's pretty much the only green in season before spring comes round
Thank you for that great video Maddie, I'm so happy to see recipe videos from you again! I'm French with Italian origins (my family comes from Sicily) and my grandma used to make exactly the same broccoli-pesto pasta recipe when I was a kid, when I saw the first recipe it immediately made me nostalgic and emotional at the same time (my grandma had a stroke a few years ago and she's ok now but she can't cook anymore because she lost a lot of her memories etc) so thank you for recreating something that made me travel back in time in an instant! Of course, I used to love that recipe so much it was soooo good, thanks to you I thought of it again today and I'll cook it next time broccoli is in season in my region!!
Great to have recipe videos back. You don't have to convert me to 🥦 because any thing green is among my favourite vegetables. Growing your own vegetables will improve the taste and quality.
Your videos make me crawl out of my depression pit and actually cook food for myself so thank you ☺️ I’ve been living off of crumpets for breakfast lunch and dinner until I found you ❤️❤️❤️
Can’t wait to try these 😍 my little girl is going to love roasted broccoli 🥦! Also just have to say you look wonderful, love the jumpsuit and it’s great to have you back on YT😁 xx
Your food videos are what brought me to your channel, happy to see you’re adding some in to your lineup. Super excited for a new ebook! Patiently waiting for a preorder link.
I hate broccoli and I tried making all 3. The pasta: Good 7/10. Still tastes like broccoli but roasting it makes it tolerable, adding it to pesto makes the whole dish overall it actually taste good. I did not try home making pesto tho, pine nuts=$14 per 100g + basil=$4 per bunch VS entire jar pesto=$2. Homemade pesto is just not in my budget. The soup: Very good 10/10. Somehow it tasted nothing like broccoli. Instead it tasted like my mum's leek and potato soup? even though there were no leeks? I love my mum's soup so this high praise btw. Also holy cow this makes a LOT of soup. It was literally 2L (I blended it in my measuring jug). Giving you guys warning so you don't over soup yourselves. I gave half away to my flatmates and they also enjoyed it. The noodles: Meh 4/10. Couldn't find the special broccoli at my supermarket so used regular. Didn't turn out so great, I picked out the broccoli and enjoyed the mushrooms and noodles. I give it a meh instead of a bleh because I feel like maybe it would have tasted different if I could have found your special leggy long broccoli seeing how the other recipes were awesome and also the mushroom only version of the noodles was good. Overall, Madeline you are a miracle worker. I usually find broccoli really gross but I enjoyed the soup and pasta so much I'll be making them regulars.
These look soo delicious! I actually love broccoli, I can't wait to make all of these! Also, not related to the video but girl, drop your skin routine please, you are GLOWING ✨
Hello Madeleine, my vote for a recipe video is all things kale! I'm not its biggest fan but would love to enjoy it for the health benefits etc. A fantastic video about cooking with broccoli (as your videos always are). All good wishes 💕
I LOVE broccoli so much! I never understood how some people can not like it?! The recepies all look so yummy, and seeing roxy so needy was just adorable!!!!!
Hello! I love your recipes and i can't wait to try your soup! And also need to say, that you look gorgeous. Could you please come up with some tips about brussel sprouts and carrot? Thank you.😊
This is a really nice video series idea! I love the nutritional info about the veg too. I think I'd be interested in any vegetables you choose, however I would love to know how to use up courgettes, aubergines, kale/spinach and celery. I only buy each of those things for one kind of meal, e.g. courgette for veg bake, aubergine for lasagna sheets, celery for spaghetti bolognese, and spinach for smoothies or dressing up some instant noodles, but other than that I don't know what else to put them in!
I used to not touch pesto at all because I thought it's Parsley (i completely hate parsley) and walnuts and then i realized it's basil and pine nuts. I love pinenuts!! And maybe i wouldn't use a lot of basil because it's a strong aroma for my palette but I'd love to use maybe half with spinach or something. I'm so happy i didn't skip over this!
Yes finally more recipe videos :) Next time make recipes with aubergines! Also a tip for you: don't cook the nutritional yeast otherwise the nutrients get lost!
Parsnips! I wonder if there is a person on Earth who can make them taste good. I once had a parsnip-apple soup which tasted surprisingly good, but not enough to eat it again.
Yummy 😋 now I have more delicious recipes to cook whilst I’m home and loving the English weather at the moment and sitting in the garden. Just perfect xx 💖
Cauliflower or sprouts would be great. I love sprouts, but my partner doesn't so I'd love some extra ideas on how to convert him! Also your hair and skin look beautiful and glowy!!
Totally agree it’s just so strange. I have 6 autoimmune conditions and stayed in since the beginning of March. We are all so pleased your back honey. We miss you guys and especially baby Roxie. Xxxx stay safe guys 💖💖💖💖
Yay! recipes are back. They look delicious and I am going to try them all.🥦 I am back to work next week after shielding and working from home since April. I feel a have got into a rut and put weight on with being too afraid to go outside and feeling no motivation to cook healthy meals - thank you so much for inspiring me to take the first step back to feeling motivated and eating healthy again - lots of love 😘 and Roxy - you are simply adorable 🐶💖💖 - Courgettes please 😘
For the series; How to hide all the healthy (cruciferous) greens? 🤗 it would be cool to have different recipes through the seasons as well. I’m in NZ so I always save the summer recipes and then come back to them 🥰
I love the food cooking videos the best! Thank you for bringing them back. Roxy is so cute. You would think her tail would hurt from pounding on the floor but I guess not. Too funny Roxy! Each animal has their own personality. Love it!
Its hard to recommend vegetables for this series because so much of my hangups about certain veg is a texture thing, not a taste thing so I don't know how much you can help but here's a few ideas if you want to give them a go: mushrooms, legumes like chickpeas/ brown lentils and artichoke maybe?? I have personally grown to LOVE broccoli after finding out which ways I like to cook it (roasting is my fave!) but Ive never tried anything like that soup, I'll have to give it a go! 😊
So happy you are back and well again! Can you make a recipe video about Chicory? Because it's bitter, i's hard, for my, to make a nice vegan meal with is.
I used to hate broccoli but it's now my favourite vegetable 💚💚💚 thanks for these recipes, can't wait to try them! Could you please tell me which food processor you're using?
I am IN LOVE with this video style! I would love to see more how to cook with [vegetable] videos!! The little broccoli trivia were cute too. Now I know some random facts about broccoli 😂
I would never cook in a white jumpsuit 😅 I would be afraid to stain it so bad that it doesn’t come out later. I would love to see a video about making brussel sprouts tasty. 🙂
Welcome back :) Happy to see you come back with this new "How to make veg taste good" series. Although I eat veggies quite easily, it is always interesting to have new inspo.
