Made this with Pork for Pork Lo Mein. Bought fresh noodles from my local Asian grocery. The first time we made it, it was to sweet. Second time....Reduced the sugar in the sauce to one tsp and used more mushroom (dark) Soy Sauce instead of regular Soy Sauce (less salt). Turned out wonderful! Will definitely made this again. Thanks for the recipe!

Your tutorial presentation is exceptional, I enjoyed the exquisite piano music, demos on how your cut, mince and julienne veggies, and your repeating the ingredients as you added each one to your recipe. I look forward to watching more of your Art of Cooking recipes. Would you please tell me where to purchase such a knife as you used in this video. Is it a Japanese cleaver? Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yum! The sauce part of the recipe is wonderful! I didn't have the dark soy sauce but I don't think it was missed. I added extra ginger and garlic. I used dry sherry for the wine. For the vegetables I added in sea vegetables (Wakame). I also used bok choy and red pepper, a portobello mushroom and added some red onions. For the noodles I used only a half a pound of buckwheat UDON noodles. The ratio of vegetables to noodles was 2 to 1.Oh and I substituted half of a Stevia packet for the sugar. It tastes like something I'd expect to be served in a very upscale restaurant. There is a TON of flavor.
